Brisbane: Sources close to the Pakistan team are reporting a possible serious rift in the team and a possible hitch in the preparations for the Jan 19th game in Brisbane.
The confusion, according to Mrs Wilson the head of janitorial services who is already under scrutiny from the strange happenings in Hobart, has been caused by both Inzimam and Youhanna insisting on batting at the No 3 position. Inzimam is reported to have told PCB that if he isnt allowed to bat at No 3, he will start eating Aslee Ghee and raise his weight to unacceptable levels. Youhanna, in turn has threatened to go back into hiding under Mrs. Wilsons staircase, with or without Gulab Jamons. At one point during this argument, tempers are reported to had frayed resulting in a physical confrontation causing Bob Woolmer, the FOREIGN ( NON PAKISTANI ) coach having to intervene to separate the Captain and his deputy.
To compound the issue, Inzamam is also reported to have thrown a glass of lassi at Youhanna to express his unhappiness. The keeper Kamran Akmal attempted to separate them but Inzamam took a dim view of the interference and threw Akmal out of the ground before BW, Pakistan's English coach, decided the privacy of the dressing room was a more suitable venue for resolving violent differences. Later BW showing his typical English brusqueness, refused to comment on this affair, citing the fact that this was total and utter nonsense. However, our SOURCE has learned that what he actually wanted to say was that the confusion and problems with technical aspects of Pakistans game were his fault alone and the rumors about his destructive influence on Pakistan were totally true. Until the filing of this story, this issue remains unresolved.
