Hobart Police have filed charges against the PCB, Pakistan captain Inzimam and Vice Captain Youhanna for wasting police time. "Sources" say that the drama had taken place during the VB series match between Pakistan and Australia. Although details are bit sketchy but the milkman living round the corner in Hobart has alleged ( very confidently ) that Bob Woolmer (BW), the Pakistan coach was seen desperately searching for both after the fall of the first wicket at Hobart. It is alleged that the Police was called in at that time.
BWs frantic search continued until the fall of the 8th wicket when Police were able to locate the 2 missing persons, hiding under the staircase of a Mrs Wilson, who lives close to the ground. Mrs Wilson, who is the head of janitorial services at the Horbart ground said in a statement, read out by her lawyers :
"The 2 gentleman in question knocked at my home, soon after the toss and demanded to have Gulaab Jamon and tea. When told that Australians do not stock such items at home, Mr. Youhanna, who looked very distressed is said to have begged the lady to hide his captain and himself, under the staircase. In return, she was promised a free visit to the famous Shalimar gardens in Lahore, Pakistan"
Meanwhile, BW refused to comment on this whole sordid affair but the source has learnt that what he actually said was : "I am ashamed that due my disgraceful tactics and incorrect team selection, Pakistan have lost yet another match. I lay the blame totally on Inzamam and Youhanna and am planning another conspiracy to wreck Pakistans chances of winning ANY game in the future" The case will be heard in the local law courts tomorrow.
