I had another chat with Azhar Majeed last night. For those that aren’t aware of who Azhar is, he is the UK based agent to a number of current and former Pakistan players, such as Misbah ul Haq, Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Abdur Rauf, Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Asif, Saqlain Mushtaq etc etc and he very kindly provides PakPassion members with exclusive information regarding the players he represents.

28th December 2008 I had another chat with Azhar a few days ago and he had the following to say :- Asif's hearing is on the 24th January 2009 in London. Azhar confirmed that Asif's legal team are not looking for some sort of deal or compromise with the IPL, rather his name to be totally cleared of all charges.

" Mohammed Yousuf enjoyed a very cordial and respectful relationship that you would expect from a senior player and a junior player. They were on good terms and quite often Yousuf would offer advice to Malik. However this all changed once Shoaib Malik became captain"

Yousuf initially signed a contract with the ICL and obtained a signing on fee from the ICL. This signing on fee from the ICL, despite stories in the press saying otherwise, was returned to the ICL by Yousuf.
