A confident right hander hailing from Karachi, Rameez played as an opener for the Karachi Dolphins in the Faysal Bank Super Eight T20 Cup in 2011, where he became their highest scorer. His performance earned him a call up to the national team for the Zimbabwe Tour, where he played 2 T20Is, finishing with a total of 24 runs.

In the 2012 concluded, 2013/14 Faysal Bank T-20 Cup for Departments Rameez Raja Jnr score 121 runs at an average of 24.20 with a highest score of 46.

Despite being out of favour with the selectors, Rameez's aggressive stye of play can be utilised by Pakistan in the future if he adds more consistency to his performances. However Rameez has failed to achieve consistency and after several years in domestic cricket averages only 25 in First Class, 31 in List A's and 24 in T20 which means that it is unlikely that he will be recalled to the national side unless he has nothera spectacular season.

His big hitting can be an asset for Pakistan in the future in T20 cricket if he can add a level of consistency to his play.
