Who should Replacement for Afridi be in test sqaud?

Afridi has retired and it leaves Pakistan a batsmen light in the test sqaud now. So who should be called up to replace him?

Do Pakistan send an SOS to senior batsmen MY or YK? or should pakistan move forward and call up Fawad Alam or another Youngster?

Knowing Ijaz Butt the Brainless Dinosaur that he is Faisal Iqbal or Misbah will be flown out as a replacement!

I would ask for Younis Khan, as he is already in England. It wouldn't be difficult for him to slide in compared to Mohammad Yousuf. This is obviously my personal best case scenario. Basically, you would slot Younis Khan in at #3 and split the two youngsters [Amin/Azhar] by putting Akmal between them.

Order would look something like this - Younis, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal, Umar Amin.

What I think will happen is Yasir Hameed/Shoaib Malik will replace him.

Malik may replace Afridi in side but sqaud is still left a batsmen short so we need a replacement.

Mohammed Yousuf will get the likely call! Won't be a shocker of a selection, but Younis Khan would have been the ideal pick (because he can bowl a bit too).

Logic would dictate Younis Khan being the man called in. He's already in England and should be used to the conditions by now. Let him come and bat at #3 so we can take pressure off the youngsters. But I don't see this happening because the PCB and logic just does not go together.

I believe no change will be made to the sqaud for aus series since we have enough backup batsman/bowlers for 2nd test starting in a few days. the changes will be announced after aus series before the eng series. thats my feeling.

likely changes could be call-ups to fawad and yusuf.

Yes, some players were listed as Stand bys. I only remember Asad Shafiq from that list.

Coming back to the question in the OP, since YK/MoYo are out of favour of :ibutt , then I'd say Fawad Alam should replace Afridi.
Although, it will be unfair to the stand by players.

Asad Shafiq could also be an option, but I think we already have about enough new faces in the squad.

2. He has said he is willing to Play against Enlgand in the Test Matches.
3. Management has said there will be no replacement as of yet, if they were going to call someone other than :moyo they would do it now, so looks like they are waiting for him.

Did you not read my post were i said "Management has said there will be no replacement as of yet" that is one of reasons why I think it will be Yousuf, as Yousuf said he will be available for the England Tests, though I might be wrong and they may not go with him.

Yousef is the best replacement for Afridi and is an absolute must in the remaining tests, YK should also come in for garbage Malik, we really need both in the team.
