Religion is the most overrated thing on Earth.

I wouldn't really call it overrated but I don't really agree with a lot of things stipulated by religion. Personally, I believe in God but at times I find myself wondering why he'd want us to do certain things. One example would be the concept of heaven and hell. What's the point? There's 6 billion people in the world and hardly 200 would be able to say with any degree of certainty that they'd go to heaven and half of them would be wrong. Yes, you're good you go to heaven, you're bad, you don't but its not that simple; there's a billion things to take into account and no human being can be expected to live a normal human life without missing out on a few at the very least. Problem is that if you do, bam, you're done for. Its like a Physics examiner setting an exam that is 20% Physics and 80% Economics. You just can't pass, so what's the point except that here the examiner is an omnipotent being with absolute power who can banish you to eternal hellfire if you don't get 100% on the exam; 99.9% just won't do and that's my main issue and if someone is aware that it is near enough impossible to get that 100% no matter how hard you try, why not just get 0% and still suffer than to work for 90% and suffer anyway.

1. dad( blood is thicker than water , dad is your real friend. This is all bookish. It has got nothing to do with real life.I was late circumcised and he used to call me a kafir/hindo. Whose responsibility was it to have it done for an infant?)

2. relationships especially b/w siblings. My mother had been on deathbed for three months not a single sister had come to visit her even though they all live
in the same city. My real sisters fight each other like real enemies. Brothers have a lot communication problems with each other.

I have come to the conclusion that you are everything on your own, Parents/friends/siblings/whatever shiit human relationship. you're on your own.

3. Religion. (If Adam could make a mistake then how can God expect from us to be perfectly obedient human beings. It istotally impossible. Can you point a single muslim who is follwoing Islam in true sense. It is way over-rated that's why Noone
is paying heed to the religion).

4. Pakistan as a country. Way too backward in every sense. Every task is done in the wrong way.

5. Pakistanis as people. They just talk, talk because it is easier and no substance to show off. be it politicians or news anchors orgeneral public.

In general, most people have common agreements on certain things like relationships, religion etc it is good to know thatI am not alone.

tanzeel bro, I think your perception is a little off. From what I read in your previous post, you make it sound like if you miss out on one thing...then its hell. Well honestly speaking,we don't know who is going where...all we can do is live our life in accordance to the guidance we been given.

Hence, it is our duty to try to learn as much as possible and act upon it. Allah is the most merciful and InshAllah if we do miss out on something, then InshAllah we will be forgiven (hence why myself or others ask for forgiveness everyday along with being guided correctly). Like I said earlier, we don't know who will go to where but that is not to say Allah can't forgive you for doing something wrong.

Hopefully this post helped, Allah knows best. :)

God doesn't expect us to be perfect human beings. He never said we were or to be. We should just strive to be the best of examples but by not being that exact figure (Muhammad SAW) does not mean we are failures. We are taught Allah SWT is most merciful and InshAllah he will forgive us for our sins if we seek him regularly.

Overrated is when something's rated highly when its really not. There are hardly any people outside of Pakistan who thinks of us as "all that". ofcourse you're going to get Pakistanis prasing Pakistan alot because...well, its THEIR OWN COUNTRY! So, I dont think you'll get alot of people saying sh*t about their own country. Politics, laws? yes. But as a country? I dont think so.

I know you don't wish to argue this point but through history its impossible to overlook that religion has been central to the development of most modern day societies. It's not really over-rated in that sense, and has been incredibly important in providing the basic structure for nearly all facets of modern day life.

That is true for most religions but unfortunately Islam is a way of life, not just a religion. For a muslim one of the fundamental beliefs is the Quran being the word of God and the unquestionable truth. And since it dictates our food, dressing, martial life etc we have to follow it and it sortof... takes over our lives.

This. I had it during Hajj and it was nothing special - but from what I hear its best to try it out the one in Jeddah since there is no such thing as 'quality control' in terms of food around that area anyways. :moyo

you are a disgrace.

Errr....No you see the bit in the brackets was just a light hearted joke but I accept humour doesn't always translate well in text so I apologise to anyone who feels offended.

I have got a question.

Everyone says a person who doesn't believe in Allah is destined for jahanum. My confusion is that a person who is born outside of Islam will very very unlikely convert into Islam. According to us, our religion is true and according to non-muslims their religion is true. You will follow what you have been told by your parents and will believe what your surrounding society is doing. It's not easy to change religion and if one does many hardships follow.

Its been said that Allah never does injustice but nowadays, when Islam's image is not very positive, it can be a hurdle to become muslim.
