Do you have a limit on how far we can go? Bollywood was really rich in music during 60's and 70's with beautiful music, classic singers and music directors.

Ahhhh, then you are missing the real melodies.

80's to 2000 are pretty much dry with occational good tunes. You will find shabbir kumar, amit kumar etc etc who never became legends. Even music delivered by R. D. Burman during this time were mostly flops (Except 1942 - A love story). So nothing much to miss in this era if you are a bollywood music lover.

Still Let the songs follow. I myself collect a lot of music and listen to them for hours. So a thread of my interest too.

Music can't be measured. So its a personal choice.

I didn't say there were no good music in 90s. I have mentioned that there were 1 from Rd burman and ofcourse there were few from Rahman (Roja, Bombay, etc etc but mostly Tamil movies dubbed to hindi). Most of Rahman's classics of bollywood came in 2000's.

About Nadeem - Sravan music, its a choice. I find their music very repeatative and same instruments and melody in most of their tracks. Same violin group playing in the back. Yes some were soothing but very few can go as classics in my collection.

no no no. I was asking you just to confirm what exactly you are looking for as there are six decades of bollywood before 2002.

I will post some good ones from 80's tomorrow. Some bapi lahiri disco tracks and in 90s few jatin-lalit tracks are very nice.
