ohh dear. Sehwag is a freak of nature, Shazaib isnt a freak of that quality. I agree that he was probably unjustly dropped from odis, but i only seem him as an option in t20s and he got 10 of those and failed, there are better young openers than him around, same with nazir

Shahzaib is strong on the cut and on the legside. He reminds of Sehwag already. Plays the big shots like Sehwag as well. He just needs a consistent run in the side. Even Sehwag struggled early on his career but Ganguly's strong backing made all the difference.

He's played int 20's for Pakistan and failed. I remember watching Pak-Aus At Edgbaston live and he scored a duck in both games.

Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif & Imran Nazir are way ahead of this guy.

^^ Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed all performed way below than Shahzaib in the recently concluded Faysal bank Super 8 T20 cup my frd. So he meritted his place ahead of them. Shahzaib still has better stats than Imran and Khalid Latif in domestic. I am not questioning the inlcusion of Khalid at all.

There is no need to go for every opener's head, if Shahzaib didn't get selected.

And yes, saying that Shahzaib deserves a place ahead of another player, is the same as saying the other player is the reason Shahzaib is out. As logically, it is the existence of the other player, that has caused Shahzaib to be out of the team.
