Whats with this high and mighty approach, and that Pakistan is untouchable and will make a comeback?

Look at West Indies.

Does anyone here, honestly think West Indies will get back to the top in our lifetimes?

Worrying times for Pakistan because the administration is starting to do permanent damage. Never have we come accross worst players. Selfish and talenless and gutless with no desire to win.

People may bring about the Wasim Akram era, but that was unproven, and they actually were one of the best teams around. Now its a lot worse.

I will agree with you about the administration part, administration has damage Pakistan cricket to a degree where it won't be an easy route back to the normality leave TOP thing apart.

But about player's quality I don't think we are short of talent. Its administration's magic, they way they are playing with the selection by bringing back the retired players and making a proven failure a team captain. We all know that there are better cricketers than Farhat, Shahzaib, Hafeez, Misbah, who should have been in team. Pakistan administration and many of fans are refusing to accept that Razzaq is no more an allrounder. He is a shame as a bowler. When was the last time he bowled his full quota of overs. It was the right time to inject someone like him. Hammad Azam could have been brought in. He is young and he has proven that he could be a good allrounder. So why not give him a chance he might comes off good before 2011 World Cup just like Razzaq did before 1999 WC. And now many would point guns at me that dropping Razzaq would be a disastrous. I am not saying to drop him. Play him as a batsman, send him opener he has been opening innings for Hampshire (I'm not sure but I think that was the county he was representing this season). Using Razzaq and Hafeez as 5th bowler where Razzaq has to open the bowling is never going to take us anywhere. We have a strike bowler at one end in Shoaib AKhtar, at other end atlest we need someone who can hold the runs but unfortunately Razzaq's lollies are not good enough for that.

You have very rightly pointed out at the attitude of the players. The lack of hunger for success. Everyone is playing like "ok lets go out, if we win the match it will be great but if we won't it won't be a big thing". The recent too many changes in dressing room and player power in the core reason for it. In Australia they say its hard to get out of the team than to get in. The reason they want the people with same attitude and when they get going they don't want to disturb the balance but for us :40:

realistically, Pakistan need Butt, Asif and Amir to make any significant strides over the next few years. even with them they have been losing comprehensively. it's going to take a lot of work either way.
