I've seen Umair Khan bat, he is not better than Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif, or Ahmed Shehzad. I would have liked to see these guys playing rather than Umair Khan.

This also shows the talent in Pakistan. Umair Khan has batted well on the A tour despite not being are next best opener.

Talent matters not, results matter. He's shown well outside of domestic. He should be given a chance.

what is he like? I heard he is a dasher at the top. Can you please explain what did you saw and why do you see him not-better-than other openers we have?

Nasir Jamshed wasn't impressive at all, every match he was lucky, dropped twice every game, he was late onto the ball early on in his innings, Khalid Latif has an awful technique, i've seen him bat at international and domestic level, he's a Shahzaib type slogger and we can only have one of them of which whom is Shahzaib.

Ahmed Shehzad needs to sort himself out then he should be selected imo.

Ahmed Shehzad and Azeem Ghumnaan are Pakistan future however they need at least one full season of domestic Cricket to mature themselves

Nasir Jamshed is a good player. He has a ton of shots. He plays the short ball well. He's good against pace. He's the only domestic opener that i've seen hit Akhtar and Aamer.

nasir deserves another chance. if possible he should try to get back into the team before the world cup. he could prove to be great on indian tracks.

the guys who stand out are Jamshed and shehzad. Both Manzoor and Latif are also good just need to get them in the right formats and give them a proper go.

For Instance, Latif got a 60 and 40 in 3 odis against Nz. He played 1 game in Aus where he got out for 0 now hes nowhere near the odi team. How does that make any sense.

Talent is a little over rated.
I heard an expert on commentary (can't remember who) say that at first class level and beyond, normally difference in ability are about 3-5% at the most unless someone is exceptional, but only those players end up playing and succeeding in international cricket who are mentally strong enough

Infact Umair Khan is not too ahead of Shahzeb Ahmed in terms of technique ,this WI A side must have a real poor bowling lineup.

That's BS. Zulqarnain Haider has amazing mental strength (England Test Match; SA 4th ODI), but he is only a shadow when it comes to Tendulkar's and Sehwag's grace.

Oh and Imran Farhat should have no mental pressures at all, we have seen how well that worked out for him
