You must be an exceptional case otherwise just look at the review and rating.
I think last year comcast made it to top three worst rating in quality and customer service.

I have Optimum. $29.99 for 15 MBPS. Before switching to Optimum, I had Verzon DSL - $29.99 for only 3 MBPS. Love Optimum.

Does Optimum gives TV or phone service?
My netflix don't like Comcast b/c of their huge fluctuation in signals

Yes. You can get double play for 60 bucks or triple play for 90. Each service is 30 bucks per month for one year.

Time Warner also launched wideband 50 Mbps for $99.00.
50 Mbps is standard high speed internet in Japan for $20.00 a month.

I've Verizon Fios and my speed is 21 Mbps.
Time Warner cable, Verizon Fios and Optimum online are best IMO.

dude 256 kbps is as good as dailup. Airtel has the FUP in place so my speed does down to 256 after 40GB download. It is pain using the net in anything less than 1 Mbps :(

I had time warner 10mbps for 45 dollars and it sucked, use to get 1mbps on day time and 20mbps in night so i chancged to verizon dsl 3mbps for 30 dollars and it was better then time warner but now i changed to rcn 20mbps for 45 dollars and its the best and most consitent. So verizon fios and rcn and optimum is best

Although i'm 5 minute over the bridge in NJ, i guess them same applies.
With Time warner, it really depends on how far you are located from your exchange/hub and exactly how many people are using the same pipe.
I had Time Warner in my old place in Edgewater, it worked well, however as soon i moved the service to Englewood Cliffs which was 2 towns away, it sucked, you couldn't even watch youtube clips in the evenings without constant buffering.
Then having to explain the problem to Peter, Sam, George and Co in Bangalore was also a nightmare. After many days and hours spent on the phone, Time warner sent out an tech who changed the complete wiring to the lamp post but it still didn't make any difference...
Eventually they had to agree with me that it was a local capacity issue.
anyways, i canceled Time Warner straight away and got Verizon Fios which is lighting fast and has'nt dropped once in 2 year since i've had it.
