If one of the married partner is non-muslim then the muslim partner is comitting adultery.

But media portrays them as representive of muslims, you will notice it, when a controversy happens in india the media always asks them for their opinions from muslim prespectives.

Think about them as:

Aamir Khan = Anil Sharma
Shahrukh Khan = Sunil Sharma

Happy ?

Who are any of you to judge their religion? Let them live their lives. If the media goes to them because they are Muslims, and not to you, that doesn't mean you have to start questioning their religion.

So what is the punishment for adultery and does adultery automatically make someone a non muslim as the OP is suggesting?

Why should we care?

Since, when did they become representatives of Islam and Muslims?

Let them live their lives and make their own decisions. They will answer to Allah [SWT].

We should worry about ourselves and how we can become better muslims.

I agree completely and know how you feel. Those two are the Umaraa-ul-Momineen of the Muslim Ummah and the message they are giving is wrong. What should be done?

Let's have secret meetings billlal where we can dislike them?

This is the media's fault for asking them questions of these sorts.

The few times I have seen them answer such questions, they usually are politically correct and don't boost about their knowledge concerning Islam.

I would have an issue with these two if they went around proclaiming they know what Islam is really about and that they are experts. I have never heard anything of this sort from them.

So much bashing for me, i think i was wrong un conveying the msg. I think every single person is representative of their religion, now being a super star their is some extra burden on you. Being muslims, what they have done for muslims or islam? Or we should just accept the fact that they are no more muslims.

Being Muslims , what have Mohammed Asif , Amir and Salman Butt done for muslims or Islam?

Who has done more damage to the reputation of Muslims and Islamic Values ? Ones who sold there country for a quick buck or those who just married Non-Muslim women?

They are worried about other's action than following the religion themselves.

actually, most pakistanis I know personally are really liberals and do not get into religion too much. Whatever they follow or not follow, they keep it to themselves.

Hence I was more surprised when I read a lot of such threads in this forum. :)

Why are we so keen to decide on others whether they are Muslims or not:boom:? Have we looked at ourselves to see whether we perform all those (religious and social) duties that God has enjoined upon us? And to those who think they are doing whole justice to their responsbilities, are you still sure you will go to the Paradise? If not then continue getting spritually better than questioning others beliefs.

if iam not wrong you are definately a fan of either Aamir or Shahrukh. Iam concerend because they are stars and they have a bigger impact on the society than me. If i do some thing no one will be bothered but they are role model for the society and ther deeds get more attention.

And what iam doing as a muslim is that iam atleast not marrying a non-muslim woman and i think that is act one of the biggest sin, infact you are out from the religion.

u shuld know these as a basic knowledge bro.. if a muslim marry a non muslim ( not ahle kitab) and you dont make her muslim then you are automatically out from islam.

you just made a complete fool of yourself by asking such a trivial question in a multi-religious/ multi-ethnic forum!

Btw, how old are you?

Let me tell you that most of the world is not as much obsessed with religion as some of us pakistanis see our elders being, in their drawing room talks!

and just because some body has a muslim name or was born in an apparently muslim family, it doesn't mean that they have to either come to a certain standard of "musalmaniat" set by you or stop being muslims by changing their names !!

I hate shahrukh and like Amir due to their respective work though the moment I would feel that I have started having multiple orgasms just because their race, religion, language are like mine..I would rather go to a mental doctor!

which world are you living in bro?..stop getting fake pleasure by looking for those fake stamps of "musalmaniat" on human beings that are so much more than their religion... you don't need to take those "dadi amma's" bedtime stories, with an extra dose of "jazba-e-imani" and "over-rated muslim ummah" in them, so seriously!..if you know what i am saying!!! :D

Religion is a personal matter of every individual in the civilized world and I am afraid unless a person is a well known atheist..you just cant say anything about his/her religious beliefs in black and white!

To be fair the opening poster, he probably wants to know if they consider themselves Muslim.

Now many people here will say its none of his business, and frankly it isn't but theres no harm in wanting to find out. For example, someone may be interested to see what nationality a certain person is, the same way someone may be interested about what religion one may be. At the end of the day, they both are trying to identify the person albeit in different terms.

And to the 'liberals' on this forum, stop being so narrow minded. :))

He knows very well that both of them are on record acknowledging their muslim identities, his problem is that he is trying to watch their each and every activity by wearing those religious glasses, a kind of activity very common among us but almost ailien to the civilized world.

To put it in another way, he is one of those extremists who won't accept any one's nationality unless they wore their national flag up their sleeves 24/7...if you know what iam saying [;)]
