but a seriously good suggestion is walk the line cartsy, a fine fine movie, the performances, the truth of the story. Reese has earned my praise as has Joaquin

What was so good about it?
I thought it had no story and just random idiots flying around on broomsticks. I couldn't even understand the actors because of those annoying British accents. It was a torturous 3 hours for me especially because I got there a little late and missed the good seats, didn't want to sit in the front seats so sat on the stairs. :6:

What's it about?
a guy who is suferring from short term memory loss
he cannot make any new memories after a certain point, so he makes tattoos and notes to remind himself of what is going on when his memory blanks out
so he sets out to find the murderer of his wife, (which caused his brain damage), by making notes and taking photos of all he knows thus far

Oh oh wait, I think they showed a bit of this movie to us in our class a year or two ago. Is this the one where the story goes kinda backwards? Also all of us in class were pointing to the point that if he was writing everything down in case he forgot, what made him remember that he had actually written something on something and that that thing paper or whatever exists and is with him? Concept is good but far from sensible.

yes that is the film
but to realise the sensibility you have to watch the whole film, it makes sense in the end ;)

Yes we didn't watch all of it. But even if it does make sense in general, how he remembers something and then forgets the other is too much. But worth seeing, as that going backwards kinda thing was interesting nonetheless.

Has anyone seen "The Devil's Rejects". Pretty good if you're in the mood for a decent B grade movie. I wouldnt quite say it was a horror flick but it was far better than Rob Zombie's previous movie "House of a 1000 corpses".
It had a pretty cool spin, as the psycho, mass murdering family were the protagonists on the run from the law. The main antagonist was a vigilante Sheriff and I actually managed to empathise more with the screwed up family than the Sheriff on his pursuit for justice.
It goes without saying that it shouldnt be watched with your family, or even younger brothers and sisters as there is copious amounts of SVL. Having said that, there were some pretty amusing scenes like how they made a lady wear the face of her dead husband

I agree Mona, very good movie. There was something in it that you don't normally find in other superhero movies. Very well put together, also his development into Batman was nicely done. Very much like Spiderman, part one.
And Bale's acting was simply awesome. Some would say it looked totally artificial. So its this or that extreme case. I found it good.

Just finished, wow maza aa gya. Pretty old this story, go village boy get something back from the city, but still felt great and fighting was amazing. Good use of knees, pretty new that one.
Finally got to see Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong. Remember the name Tony Jaa...the next Jacky Chan without a doubt.
There were no special effects, stuntmen, wires or any aid for Tony in Ong Bak. The film does not have a hi-quality look and the story is Bollywood inspired (or spoofed).....but the fight sequences and acrobatics are stunning. Not to be missed by Martial Arts fans.
Watched Flight plan, Jodie was great but was slightly let down with a tame predictable ending.

imdb. It has user reviews but I'd say they tend to be more useful than critic reviews especially for comedies (who get skinned by critics almost always).
The user rating (out of 10) for movies also tends to be more accurate than most critics.

there was a awkward start and awful unimaginative ending...
acting was shyte by everyone...they may as well been robots.
the island was a much more slicker movie and that was rubbish too.
it was more like a long extended scene or a episode of a miniseries where u just get confused.
