So Geordie what happened?
To be honest I was thinking Aristocrats will have some juice, surprised to hear its cr@p.
Who's in it, where does it falter?
Geordie Ahmed
31st March 2006, 22:21
it isnt a film - it is a documentary about A JOKE (hence the reason i suggested it in the humour thread)
It is joke that comedians tend to tell one another - the basic of the joke stays the same BUT each comedian adds his own touch to the joke (which is where it goes a bit mental)
Basically the joke goes like this "a guy goes to a talent agent and says i have this amazing act for you" the agent says what is the act - this is where each comedian adds his own touch to the joke and then the talent agent goes whats the act called, the goes "The Aristocrats"
I watched the beginning part of the documentary and the bit where the comedians add their own touch is just really crude, i mean they add incest and what have you to it - hence the reason i said avoid it

Ice Age would have been great as well had they put some good effort into its graphics quality, I have to say it wasn't done well enough as compared to Shrek, Finding Nemo etc.
I know you hate me for that already.
Geordie Ahmed
31st March 2006, 22:38
I didnt have a problem with the graphics - thought they were more than reasonable - it was the laughs that made me enjoy it :))) :))) :))) :))) :))) :))) just quality - i mean to make adultsl laugh without using swear words is a challenge i imagine
Madagascar 2 should be out next year - i thought the 1st one was good BUT should/could have been better
I love animated films (of the comedy variety) its good that they are doing well :19:
entralinks
31st March 2006, 22:45
In my opinion Shrek 2 and The Incredibles were flawless in terms of graphics quality.
Finding Nemo and Ice Age had a good story.
All of them are equally funny.
Madagascar was disappointing if you ask me. So were Home On The Range and Shark Tale.
And this Wallace And Grommit is the king of craps. How it ended up doing so much business is beyond me.
Geordie Ahmed
31st March 2006, 22:50

z10, yar no I haven't seen it yet, a couple of problems with PC, will do first thing when sorted. I came across it a few days back so just wanted to know someone's opinion of it, by the look of it I am well interested.
GA Scary Movie series is being dragged but you know it just depends on other films that come out, so it isn't really dragging in a sense. They just make fun of stuff that other movies have and those other movies have mostly new stuff, so it can be interesting everytime it comes out. But I'm not too keen, will watch only if in a mood.

Well I think Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, one on one, would be an awesome sight, won't it.
BTW I'd die to watch two women making love on screen.
But thats not the point. The point is where can I watch it?
American Pie 2, the OC (last year anyway) are two that I can name
Narnia was pretty average but the conservatives in the US loved it so they'll probably make the whole chronicals. Unfortunetely I was a fan of the books so I'll probably end up watching all of them (unlike Hairy Puttar where I havent seen a single one of them).
Oh well, at least I didnt waste my money at the cinema

ICE AGE 2 - my Review
Got ready with wife & kids to watch the eagerly aaited sequel. Got a good deal on 4 tickets (£10) at the local UCI (big screens and big seats)
Been waiting to watch this for some time - even watched Ice Age 1 night before to get me re-acquainted with the characters etc.
Arrived at the cinema - bought the tickets, and popcorn etc.
Then my sister turned up - demanded to watch the film - so I left and she went in instead of me.
I give it 0/10

not sure if one is allowed to give links and what have you BUT if you google it it will tell you! Torrents are the best for downloading films
What you need to download first is something called AZUREUS (its the software that controls your downloads) it is a small file so shudnt take long
Then you got to the numerous torrent sites out there - you download the specific torrent file (it is usually 30 or so kb) you then use that torrent file in Azureus to download the whole film - obviously the time it takes to download depends on your broadband speed

aight mIRC in simple words is a FREE chat and file transfer medium...
the thing i like about mIRC files is that they are very small with good quality... a full movie is usually around 400 MB... you can also find tv programs, music albums etc on there...
what i didnt like about mIRC is that you have to get used to it... its hard to understand but i got used to it in 2-3 days...
here is the procedure:
1. go to http://www.mirc.com/get.html and download it and install
2. then start the program up and fill in your details
3. click on Server tab
Hit the "Add" button.
Description: TMD-Starfleet
IRC Server: irc.star-fleet.net
Port(s): 6667
Group: TMD-Starfleet
Password: Leave Blank
Hit the "Add" Button to finish

For some reason I saw American Dreamz today. I was worried it might be too chick flickish but luckily it wasnt. Still a pretty average movie but had some good moments. Willem Defoe did a pretty good job as a 'Cheney' as did Dennis Quaid as "Dubya". The whole movie had characters parodying someone - these two, as well as Muslim Terrorists, Hugh Grant as Simon Cowell, Mandy Moore as a Britney Spears style white trash, rich Persian family in the US...I guess the only real character was "Omer" the other finalist in the American Dreamz contest.

Ya mean..
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

I heard rumors about the W(something) brothers who made the movie (also made Matrix). Apparently they are shady kind of fellows who never show up in public.

True - maybe a little matrix in there too ( rain drops falling slowly etc )...

Yeh I agree, they probably should've got someone else instead of Portman.
