I agree. I expected a lot, but there was really no plot development. If I had paid for the ticket to the movie, I'd want a refund.

I paid the first time (would have liked a refund!) but was forced to watch it the second time for free though, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it at all.

I liked the original Superman with Christopher Reeve so I expected a lot from this as well but it totally disappointed me. There was no plot and meaning in the movie and the only positive parts were Kevin Spacey's acting and the special effects.

m_sohail
7th July 2006, 06:53
Totally agree about Spacey, the best part about the movie was his acting. Honestly I expected some form of original plot, but it was terribly. I seriously think a child came up with it, it lacked heavily in terms of originality/creativity.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but "I am Sam" is a superb movie.

I sure as hell hope not! He is a much, much more accomplished actor. I would call Brad Pitt underrated, because atleast he has had the courage to try different roles inspite of his pretty boy image. Even then, however, Depp is leagues above Brad Pitt in terms of acting talent.

CARS - Walt Disney & Pixar : by Oxy & Son.

Well all the hype and advertising targetted at kids worked - a promise before the summer holiday to take the little one to watch had to be fulfilled.

In true Pak style, we were 20 mins late - but in true UK Cinema style, so were they!

We were treated to a 5 mins animated intro called 'One Man Band' - great little appetiser before the main course.

What struck me immediately was that this 2 hour extravaganza was beautifully animated - you had to pinch yourself that this was NOT a real car race and that the stadium and the flashing cameras were all Pixar magicians at work!

I'm not into reviews as I forget what I ve seen - but I'll give this 8/10.

Actually, it gave me 2 hours away from the missus - so make it 10/10!!!

Saw the movie, it was decent. Would rate it as slightly above average. The problem is that it will only appeal to you if you are into the hip-hop genre, otherwise don't bother.

The mix between ballet and hip-hop/break dancing wasn't anything to brag about, but the dances were good enough. The guy lead has some major popping ability, and is a good dancer. Wouldn't have minded seeing a few more/longer dance scenes.

If you are into the genre of this movie, go and check it out.

I was at my friends house the other day (who's Indian), and we happend to be really really bored so he pulled out the DVD and we started watching it. He told me that his parents enjoyed it so we gave it a shot. Luckily for me there were English subtitles at the bottom so I could understand what was going on. I must confess, at first I wasn't too thrilled at watching the movie (like my friend), but as the movie went on, it became pretty interesting. After watching the movie I have no regrets. I rarely watch Bollywood movies, and I must say this was one of the few good ones I have watched. IMO the most powerfull moment in the movie was when that guy (I think his name was Rhan) was pointing the gun at the girl (Zooni???), then he started having falshbacks of her face and couldn't shoot her. Then she was pointing the gun at him, started having flashbacks of his face, but still shot him. The flashbacks made it a powerfull moment! I'm pretty sure most of you guys have watched it so I was just wondering what you guys make of the movie?

P.S: The girl Bobo was pretty hot -_-

Fanaa was okay, but overall it was pretty stupid if you ask me.

I would reccomend Iqbal and Lagaan as good sport bollywood movies.

For a mind trip would recommend Memento, with guy pearce and carrie ann moss ( the matrix chick)
Last movie i watched on dvd was pulp fiction again. cant get enough of S jackson.
the lines they added on Snakes on a plane for him are bad ass, even put it in the soundtrack :)
next one on the list is the Illusionist with jessica biel :>
