Has anyone seen Lucky Number Slevin?
Great movie.
Yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. Pretty interesting story line, and quite a bit of dry humour
The Boss: They call him "the Fairy"...
Slevin: Why do they call him "the Fairy"?
The Boss: Because he's a fairy.
Slevin: What, he's got wings... he flies around sprinkling magic dust on people?
The Boss: He's a homosexual!

Anyone seen "A Scanner Darkly" yet? I loved the book, and would like to see the film, but this rotoscoping or whatever it's called seems very weird. The book was psychodelic in itself, so I suppose it adds that feeling to the film. Anyway, I shall hopefully see it soon. With Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, it should be at least okay.

I watched it weeks back with Invictus.....Your'e right it was a very gruesome movie and I can understand why it was censored due to some explicity scenes (I had watched the uncensored version)...Anyway, no it launched right into the movie, with titles coming at the end...

Damn it, I wish I could watch Prestige. Christian Bale is the best young actor of this era. I have already spent ten bucks on the Departed, and the other ten bucks are for Borat's masterpiece releasing in November!
What about Edward Norton? I thought his performance in "American History X" is one of the best performances ever in history of cinema. Extremely moving and powerful... only reason he didn't win the Oscars that year was most of the dialogue in the movie was anti-Jew.
As an actor generally speaking, I personally think Jim Carrey is outstanding and probably the most critically under-rated actors of all time. Compare his roles in 'The Mask' and 'Me, Myself and Irene' to his roles in Truman Show and the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless (his best performance in my opinion). His performances speak for themselves. He has a new movie coming out next year called "The Number 23". Looks really interesting - can't wait!

I absolutely agree with you on both points. Norton is a fantastic actor, and one of my favorites to be honest. Bale's "American Psycho" just overwhelms me at times, thus my reference. But in no way is Norton any less of an actor than Bale.

Norton in American History X and Bale in American Psycho only go to prove that the best performance wont usually win the Oscar
That look in Norton's eyes after he dealt with the black robbers was absolutely psychotic. Although the same could be said about Bale throughout American Psycho.
I saw Into the Blue expecting to see a bit more of Jessica Alba

Oscars usually don't look at performances in all movies to be honest. They look for the movie to be politically correct first, and the performances of an actor/actress are secondary.

I don't know about the UK, but what threw off North American viewers was that in all the commercials, the last bit with Mark Wahlberg had already been shown. Thus, I was just sitting in the theater and waiting for whatever happened at the end to eventually happen. Producers should really be cautious with what scenes they throw out for commercials and publicity.

I Saw Don.. What a load of pants...
This version did no justice to the original film, this remake should not have been attemped..
The old movie had class and a real funky "black expotation" type feel to it. (think Jacky Brown or Boogie nights)
The new one is just a pointless copy up a very bad casting - all the baddies look the same, there no class to this movie.
In the original, Don had class, would drive mercedes benz or ford mustangs, this new don drives a tata sumo jeep..
As for the special effects in the plane jumping scene... frankly i've seen better special effects in most uk tv adverts.
and as for the twist at the end, it left too many holes in the story.

I saw Talladega nights which was pretty funny. I didn't expect it to be good but it was enjoyable.Leslie Bibb was amazing in it. Didn't know she existed. Thus neither did I.

Certainly not, I said 'people'. :D
By the way Matt Damon is a lucky bloke, usually gets roles with big stars in high profile movies.

I don't find much in him. I would say Josh Hartnett is better.

u probably mean better-looking dont u ? ;-)Wait a minute, sir do I know you? I don't know how people find the guts to talk to me like that in their first conversation with me. Apologise to me right now, it is too early to get this personal with me like this. PP wise I'm two years and 10,000 posts senior to you.
