If Pakistan prove Ian Chappel wrong once again, I really would like Ian Chappel to apologise on broadcast for his biased chawal thoughts. And then begone forever, his views wouldn't be worth a dime.
I don't wanna see his face anywhere in cricket.

He would probably choke on the humble pie and be found in an ICU in Mumbai somewhere anyways after the final.

so, why not pick a kid from the street to voice his opinions? atleast he might do a better job compared to chappel.
its not his opinions, its his remarks and predictions that haven't been irritating for the first time.
If Pakistan don't win it from here, Ian Chappel should still respect the team anyways. Don't tell me to grow up.

you can not say that. chappel is an ex-cricket player from australia. you can not compare him with a kid from the street.
pakistan can shut him up by winning the world cup.

No, thats like if I call you _________________. But I can argue that its just my opinion. The fact that he has been nit picking makes it annoying. He even has a problem with Afridi celebrating and Pakistan's team huddle. He is surely biased, he didin't say a single word when the Australian team was in a hurdle. Moreover, I think age has anaffect on him, he named five favourites for the world cup, thats like saying there will be two teams in the final. And even in that five he couldn't manage to name Pakistan. I could go on for ever , the list would never end.
He also made riduculos comments about Pakistan will come nowhere near the final , isn't this just hate?
If this isn't hate, then what is it?

the man has an opinion which is fair enough but its the way he voices that opinion. Every other commentator has an opinion and theres been no problems.
Chappells criticism of afridis celebrations was harsh to say the least. How can he be critical of anyones celebrations that day when brett lee was swearing after getting hafeez out.
Everyone has an opinion but theres a difference between an opinion and blatant jealously, chappell suffers from the latter

Absolutely not. The man has the right to an opinion and he has always been a supporter of Pakistani cricket as well. The only comment of his I thought was problematic was the one of the huddle after we rolled over Australia but I am willing to put that down to his jazbaat after watching his team get destroyed.
He isn't the only commentator with a problem with Afridi's celebration and I do think they have a valid point. You should only celebrate in that fashion over big wickets and if you yourself got the batsman out. I don't remember which game it was in now but Afridi just stood there in the middle and did his celebration instead of running and giving Wahab props for taking an absolutely brilliant catch despite the mediocre delivery.
Just play your own game and don't worry about the commentators especially one as of consistently high quality as Ian Chappell

Chappel has lost it ,gradually with age & also guess with the decline of Oz team hes been shown to be not very classy... am not a fan of his either ..but , I dont believe hes anti-Pakistan like everyone else thinks here & nor do I see the point of 'lets prove xyz wrong' threads here

Chappel is stupid he never consider Pakistan favourite in any ICC tournament but thats his opinion after all . He doesnt have to appplogize but he may consider to give us some credit where its due.

Chappell talks straight unlike many of the mealy mouthed brown-nosers generally employed by the big channels (no Rameez I'm not talking about you). Pakistan fans need to stop being so hyper-sensitive to criticism which is meant to be constructive, whether it is or not. I can think of far smoother talking commentators from other countries who would be a lot more vicious if they talked honestly.
