View Full Version : Boom Boom Signature

So I was at a net session today at Khan sports and I decided to spend a good hour or so looking at their limited selection of bats. They had lots of custom made bats and lots of mb malik bubber sher's and
CA's. I was about the leave the shop when I found, sitting on the corner, a boom boom signature 5 star cricket bat. I picked the bat up, and it felt amazing in the hands. I bounced a ball on it and it had the BEST ping I have ever seen on a cricket bat. Just amazing, I could not believe it. It hit nicely everywhere off the bat. I wanted to know from any fellow members who have/have seen this bat and what you think if it. I am almost certain im getting it. Its either this or the GM icon. Held both bats, both are the same to me, so I want other views of the bat.

A guy from my last practice bought the 4-star Boom Boom. Shoulder was a bit narrow but the bat was surprisingly very light and well balanced.

canadiancricketer
10th April 2011, 02:09

Fireworks11

On the website, it says even the Blaze has a low/medium sweet spot.

I was at Khan today as well. This particular bat has been sitting there for quite long time now. To be honest it is pretty amazing piece of willow but I noticed he would always recommend buying his own bats.

The Signature is incredibly thick. Let us know how you find the Signature.

Have not seen one but it looks very nice. the only reason I want a sig is because its the only one iv'e seen in the flesh. What do you think of it?
Quick Single
10th April 2011, 18:04
I don't know really, I haven't picked it up or held it or anything so I have no clue whatsoever but I just liked the shape of it and also it is the lightest one.
canadiancricketer
10th April 2011, 18:08
really? Is it the lightest? Hmmmmmmm, All I want is something light and powerful so I might be interested in this one.
Quick Single
10th April 2011, 18:12
I see you're quite interested in the thickness of the edges, but I would say the Accelerator might not have as big edges as you would like.
canadiancricketer
10th April 2011, 18:18
ya I kind of am, I hit the ball very VERY hard but im not a slogger. Im almost like TM Dilshan, I love just slashing it but not slogging. Which one is thicker, blaze or accelerator?
Quick Single
10th April 2011, 18:21
Between the Blaze and the Accelerator, I'm not quite sure but I think it's the Accelerator. And out of the whole BB range, it's easily the Signature.
canadiancricketer
10th April 2011, 18:24
ya thats what I thought too. The blaze feels the best though because its the lightest and it has the highest sweetspot.

I don't understand you mate; you're always on about how this or that bat is perfect for you but you never seem to buy one, just keep asking questions. At the moment, I'm sorry to say that what you take from this forum far exceeds what you contribute.
Go on and buy something or stop asking asking about the same bats over and over again.

I dont see what's wrong with that, I didnt say I was gonna buy it. Infact I have already ordered the bat im getting and its coming in 2 weeks. I just want to know othr peoples opinion and talk about different bats because Im sure we are all interested and we all have ideas to contribute. Please dont tell me that as u dont know my objective. The point is not to find out what bat I should get, its because I wan to know othr peoples views on different gears. I know just because you have a great bat it doesnt make you a great player but if thats what peopl think, then why are they on this forum in the first place?
shirazi_r

Really, you didn't say you were going to buy it?
I'm also sure you haven't ordered a bat as you just mentioned that you're debating which one to purchase.....

Don't make me go into other threads and quote you saying "How is the Flare/Icon/Puma/BoomBoom/EveryOtherBatInExistence, as I'm considering purchasing it".
Everyone's heard that question from you just about a million times when you claim to have already tried out the bats.
Most of the people that ask such questions ask them because they have no access to shops where they'd likely be able to check out cricket equipment. Even then, people ask once and then buy a bat based on the community's recommendation; they don't pester everyone on the forum.
All I'm saying is that if you look at some of the more established members on the forum (CD, SempreSami, KR, CA_Gold, Cricketer13) they've all consistently contributed something. You on the other hand just hijack threads and turn them into "what bat should I get/how is this bat".

That's not quite what I said now is it?
As I've mentioned before, a forum is a community in which everyone contributes and in turn we get the opportunity to share in the collective knowledge of said community. If you want to repeatedly ask the same question, perhaps this forum isn't for you, if however, you'd like to once in a while share something useful (review, an article, video) then you're more than welcome to stay.

Mind you, I live in Toronto as well and I've never been to a cricket shop. When I was purchasing my last bat, I simply asked the community a couple of times, took their advice and bought the bat they suggested.
Mind your status on this forum, you're relatively new so naturally, you'll have to show what you can bring to the community.

Your about the same as I am..............whats the whole point, Im not on this forum for others, its for my information and I can do whatever I want to do and take what ever I want to take from this forum. Again, if im making a mistake in doing so, please tell me because apparently, you are at a much higher authority then I am. I dont wish to speak about this again because I can do what ever the hell I want. If ANYBODY has any problems with me please PLEASE tell me to leave.

Relax gents relax!
CC no need to get angry man, just calm down and say what you want to:)
No one is telling you to leave this forum what shirazi bhai is trying to say is that you are repeatedly asking same question over and over again and are derailing every other thread with your questions. The forum is made for question and answers but you already made a thread so all of your questions can go there, no ? Everyday you come up with a new bat I mean initially it was GM Flare + and after that you had more choices and made so many changes that I have lost my counting. I have been hearing for past 1 month that you are ordering bats or have ordered bats which will come along your grandfather.
You tried to lie and that didn't work well either :)
So ask questions but don't repeat the same thing over and over again, everyones time is precious and when they suggest something they are doing it for you and for sake of cricket but if you take advantage of it and keep wasting there time then everyone will get frustrated.
Cheers
