Looking for a new bat

I'm looking for a new bat, I have suddenly sparked an intrest in the game of cricket again, and mostly play tape ball. I'm going to pakistan this summer and was looking to buy a new cricket bat and had a couple questions?
Can you use a cricket bat for tape ball playing?
I have a limit of 100 us dollars so what cricket bat should i get that would last me a long time without me personally taking care of it, would like a bat that is already pre knocked and doesnt require me to do so. It wont be in a hot location hottest temp. it will be in would be around 80 degrees.
Was also wondering is a boom boom bat worth the price? i was thinking 2-3 star bat. Or i was wondering if i should get a slazenger v2 or a GM 303 bat?
I'm a hard hitter so which bat should i get?

Yes, but i'm willing to spend money on a bat, i dont want a shitty 10 dollar bat for tape ball, if theres any good ones i can use please suggest

Gm 303's are some of the very best lower end bats. The GM icon 303 and the luna 303 are very good bats. You dont need to oil it and it comes preprepared (you dont need to knock it if your playing tape ball)

Plus anything less then 100 us dollars that are good quality cricket bats, if not then i'll probably go with the 303 GM icon, but since i'm playing tape ball i feel like i should get a cheaper bat?

Boom boom's are good too. But the come with a natural finish, with nothing except the wood so they are good but you might damage the face of the bat. If it is used incorrectly, then it may get damaged. It also needs a lot of knocking in. Nothing against the bat though, its very good.

to be honest no, for tape ball cricket, if you use a tape ball bat it wont make much of a difference as opposed to a real english willow bat.

Thanks so much canadiancricketer for the responses, now i think i might just go for a lower quality bat since i'm mostly playing tape ball, and i've heard from alot of people its not worth going for the boomboom bat, ishan and gm or CA or worth it, do you know any cheap <100 us dollar bats that i can get that are also look very nice :D

Personally I wouldn't recommend you a hard ball bat for tape ball cricket because your bat speed and timing will be significantly affected.

When you go to Pakistan just buy good tape ball bats and they cost around Rs. 700 and they are quite thick and have lots of meat on them, would say they have 25 mm edges.

25mm? More like 40mm depending on what you buy. Tapeball bats are huge and extremely light because they're not necessarily willow, not pressed, and dried to the max!

Don't waste your time with a hardball bat, if it's tapeball you play, get a tapeball bat.

Of you are looking for a tapeball bat, I would say go for either CA or MB Malik, because they make the best ones in my opinion

I actually have a CA bat, i really hate it, First of all its soo heavy, the weight does not seem balanced at all, and the shape of the bat is deformed(probably due to heat and over time), I think it's probably a fake bat with a CA sticker on it its called a sixerhatric, what kind of name is that? I'm going to karachi is there any specific name you could tell me about the bat so i can specifically ask them for that one? By the way thanks for helping me out

Tapeball bats have wired sort of names.

Try UT Sports, MD Sports or Gander Sports (on Tariq Road)

99% of branded tapeball bats are fake so you're unlikely to be buying a "genuine" article. My suggestion would be to check out some bats at the shop, decide on which one feels good and buy it.

With tapeball bats, there's no worry about grading/brands etc, just make sure you're not buying one of the really cheap ones and you'll be fine.
