One of the biggest reasons i have always supported him, he has always been highly patriotic and defended the country whenever required. Some people wanted him to act like Iranian president but it was never practical and he had realised that.
I support Imran Khan 200% now but i don't expect him to stand up and ask Americans to f*** o**. Imran will stay firm but won't have any option but to copoerate with America (Sad reality). Imran (or any Pak leader for that matter) would have acted exactly the same way as Musharaff did after 9/11.

Practice what you preach, you are using your heart rather than brain.
Had Musharraf use his heart rather than brain, we would be in even worst condition.
THINK using your brain rather than heart.

Mush is the man. Some controversial decisions were made during his tenure but global politics and Pakistani politics in the global context aren't as black and white as some would like to believe. By far the best option for Pakistan as a man with proven credentials as compared to tried and tested failures(PML/PPP/MQM/ANP/insert random party here). The results are there for all to see, the economic growth during his time was nothing short of amazing and his hardline stance against the Mulla types who considered themselves above the law *cough* lal masjid *cough* is just what is needed right now.

Mush gave licence to USA to use drones, not only this big mistake, but many of his bigger mistakes have landed Pakistan in to this situation.

Yep I mainly agree with this.
Rubbing up to America was a necessary evil imho though he could've been less convincing :P. But I always thought he had Pakistan's best interests at heart, especially compared to the civilian dictators who've leeched the country dry in the past
I might be wrong but did the drones start during Musharraf's time or afterwards? If it was the former, that was a genuinely poor move.

the author also forgets, remaining in the head lines (by any means) is the only way for Mush to stay in limelight.

Don't worry, any one who is not in the government is always a good person.
Becasue there is nobody to blame them.
Lots of examples out there.

No offense but this nature of reverting back to lesser failure of a person seems like a sticky affair with Pakistan.
First lambast him, then embrace him.
Every person will have few good traits but the person must be judged on how well he was able to deal with his flaws. Musharraf has been very disappointing for development of Pakistan in long term view point.

Not really, this clown exercised absolute power in Pakistan for 8 of the 10 years OBL was on the run...he is only defending his incompetence or callusion...I think the former...

are we talking about politicians or Generals. May I ask which Bunker is General Pervez Musharaf hiding right now. We are in a this mess because of General Pervez Musharaf.
He allowed drone attacks in Pakistan. He handed over bases including shamsi airbase in Balouchistan, Shehbaz airbase in Sindh and Terbela Ghazi in KPK.
Musharaf can rot in hell for what I care and he can take General Kiyani who negotiated NRO and brought Zardari and co to power.

AND THE MENTALITY NEVER CHANGS...... BACK TO SQUARE ONE.....as they sey in Punjabi "Jithe dee khoti uthay aa khaloti.... We need to get rid of this mentality people.... he was a dictator.... made some decisions.... the nation came into distress because some of his decisions.... PLEASE MOVE ONNNNNNN.... AND Get rid of this mentality.... this is exactly the reason when PPP comes in power people start praising PML which results to PML becoming elected in the next elections.
