So PSN decides to come back a day before the exams begin for most of the students in UK who are in year 11... Great! :(

Looks like I'll have to avoid Pakpassion AND PS3 in the upcoming exams, it's going to be tough... Very tough!

PSN service isn't up in Asia and Japan. Rest of the world is up, according to official Playstation blog. Give it 1 or 2 more days.

I wonder what what games or amount they'll allow us to download.

I haven't used their other services they're offering as part of the welcome back pack (Playstation Plus). Anyone know what type of stuff we can get from there?

I tried logging into the updated PSN, I managed to update with the latest patch and change my profile / password, but all other services (Store etc) are still in 'maintenance' mode :(

Dear PlayStationŽNetwork user:

As you may have heard, PlayStationŽNetwork was suspended worldwide on 20 April 2011 following a criminal cyber attack on our servers. We're pleased to say that we have now started restoring some PlayStation Network services. Over the coming days, more services will be back up and running and you should keep an eye on eu.playstation.com/psnlatest and PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com for the very latest developments.

Before you start using PlayStation Network again...

In restoring PSN, we have introduced a safety measure which means you will need to update your PlayStation Network account password before you can start using PSN again.

If you've got a PlaystationŽ3, you can do this by updating to system software version 3.61 and then signing in to PlayStation Network from the XMB (XrossMediaBar) Menu. Find out more at eu.playstation.com/ps3psn. Otherwise, you can change your password by visiting https://store.playstation.com/login.gvm on your PC. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes and if you'd lke more help you can follow the step by step guide at eu.playstation.com/psppsn.

Free games on us...

To thank you for your patience whilst PSN has been unavailable, we'll be rolling out a Welcome Back programme for all PSN users shortly; this will include free games to download and a month's free subsciption to PlayStationŽPlus (or a free month for existing members). Once available, we'll publish a full list of Welcome Back offers in your country at eu.playstation.com/welcomeback.

Again, we would like to thank you for your patience and support whilst our teams worldwide work to get PSN back up and running. Remember, for the very latest updates, you should visit eu.playstation.com/psnlatest, PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com and follow us on twitter.com/PlayStationEU.

We look forward to seeing you online soon,

The PlayStation Network team

Actually, found this:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-31021_3-20063400-260.html

This is what Sony has come up with so far: free identity theft monitoring service for a year, one to two months worth of free premium PlayStation or Qriocity service depending on your existing subscription status, some free downloaded content, and in-game bonuses for several popular titles. That free content, which was hinted at by Sony several weeks ago, was announced yesterday: PlayStation 3 owners can choose from among five video games and pick two to download for free. PlayStation Portable owners can choose two free games from among four. And at a later date, PSN users will get one weekend of "select" free movie rentals.

I wonder what the games will be... (would love if one of them was Killzone 3)

I updated PSN but then it told me to change password as it was no longer valid and that I had to reset it using some link they would email me...I followed the link but it just says "Site under maintenance" when I click on the link...so I can't even change my password. Were you guys able to change your password or in the same boat as me?

I hope my previous post answers your question:
