Import export rice/mango from Pakistan.
It just depends on how much money you can invest and if you have enough contacts to get you hands on quality rice/mango.

you already have a warehouse? business is not easy bro, especially if your thinking about importing from pakistan, as a family weve been in various business's for a very long time.
how old are you if you dont mind me asking, also you shoudlnt go into a business without knowing what your going into and knowing the market inside out.
If you just want to make a bit on the side then id say just start a small ebay business, but if your thinking of doing proper business and starting a company then feel free to contact me. I dont mind giving advise, its costs nothing lol

yes its not all my warehouse its being shared in the company in which i work its massive.
and the owner wants me to think of a idea which then we will invest 50/50
I am 22 years old.... been working as a Project Manager for 3 years.
I am alhamdulliah well off don't worry that the money gets wasted.
I know what you mean i would have somebody who i can fully trust in Pakistan because in business your own family in Pakistan sometimes gets a bit tricky.
We already are on Ebay but i want to start something that would come from Pakistan but would sell...
I know mango's etc sell but we cannot import food which won't have such a long date and its a bit risky.
thanks for you thoughts

Ok, 1st of all partnerships in business hardly ever work, unless the 2 parties already have a good business understanding and relationship, but I would not advise going into partnership, especially because your only 22.
The other thing, why does it have to be imports from pakistan? we have done business importing goods from pak and have got stung very badly in the past, you hit the nail on the head, its very very hard to find a trustworthy person who you can rely on. Most of the time you will just be get lied to and ripped off.
The other thing is you will have to make a few trips to pak aswell, this will all cost money and time, so is it really practicle for you?
What do you sell on ebay? the easiet thing will be to go into whole sale with the product that you sell on ebay, you already have the space and funds.

Textile export is an area in which Pakistan has comparative advantage, but competition is high in Pakistan. You may consider it if you can afford the machineries required

Why do you have to buy from Pakistan and sell in UK? You are drastically limiting your choices. Does everybody in UK (including local white Britishers) buy from Pakistan and sell in UK?

If you are going for cricket equipment I can be your partner. You can give me 5% or something, lol. I can help you with ideas :zoni
I mean, if you have a partnership with PP that people here can be redirected to your web and physical istore. And also partnership with BoomBoom that you offer ALL their ranges in clothing and equipment that would be good. For instance, as someone like me coming to London soon is having a hard time trying to find a store so I come to PP to do some search and ask awaam. If your istore is available here then I know where to go. + the market is already there in UK.
If your shop is KNOWN for selling the official Pakistan shirt, training shirt, test top, bat waghera waghera it will insha Allah be a huge sucess :) With time you can import Pakistan football, hockey shirt etc. We have so much business potential when it comes to sporting products used by Pakistani athlethes, but have never understood no one has really wen't for it.

If I had the possibilities that you do with the warehouse and presumably a good business network I would waste no time in getting into this business immediately. Every business has its share fair of risks and hopefully rewards but this business that I will be suggesting has a lot more rewards than risks once you get the product imported even a couple of containers will make you loads of profit in no time.
The good thing about hashish is the high demand. It is one of the most sought after items in Europe and North America with hashish people are not worried about the price they just want quality and quantity. Good luck.

Starting a business is not as easy as it seems, you need to think of a plan and consider the basics when starting a business - as it'll benefit you, so for example... You should look at the 4p's and focus on them and look at other things, I can't explain it in detail as I'm on my mobile but I hope your well organised and have thought of a in depth plan, good luck.
I'd suggest you have products which are mainly clothes, along with cricket equipment - if your looking for a partner... I mean a 'business' partner, then I'm your ideal choice - I also know dutch, so communcation won't be a issue, jokes! All the best! :P

If you have warehouse, money and are young- I would say go for it.
Most people wait too long and then either give up or there is no time for a comeback. I say comeback because things go wrong and especially with a new business things almost always go bad at one point. its how well u bounce back from that.
start small or medium and then u can see how u go from there...
The only advice you need is that u go to all the factories and talk to all the people in person. Do not, I repeat DO NOT hire or trust a middle man!!
From all the ideas listed How about cricket business?
Most other things involving designs etc the market is very different in the west compared to whats on offer in subcontinent...
good Luck Bro........
