I agree with this. If you takeover a minister car, it becomes a security issue and the he will get punish.

What about the capital punishment ? Is the process of "punishment" also as swift in your country as the one adopted in the case of Atul (i.e a bunch of policemen beating the hell out of him right at the very spot where the offense took place?)

If so then I am cent percent sure that you guys are on a fast track to becoming the super power (something you guys very excitably like to discuss on internet forums :D)

The Haryana home minister is a real tool.

Watch that video (Warning: explicit language). The same home minister shows us how classy he really is.

@aly: if there is a pilot car ahead of the convoy and he overtook, its a major security concern.

In my state, ministers are often targeted by terrorist. Many ministers got killed by in this process.... So overtake is prohibited. He gets warning 2 or 3 times but if he still violates, then he'll be shot down.... Its different in differet states also with the recent situation, the police on high alert and they don't want any casualties....

So the appropriate "punishment" for the heinous crime is.... to stop the culprit at a toll after 2-3 kilo-meters and beat him up... and then let him go??

Nice to see world's largest democracy at work ..... keep it up !!!

i justified it in certain circumstances which i have given in 2nd post.

Dude, how do you know if it was a ministers car?

Even if it was over taken, the police had no right to manhandle people. A warning or a fine would have been fine...

These idiot sucker politicians are worse than some of our biggest enemies

Haryanvi's are very backward people, too paindoo. It was poorest part of united Punjab. To uplift this region from poverty we further divided Indian Punjab, its very rich state today, real estate is booming due to its close proximity to Delhi, fertile land after we invested so much nation wealth in water management but mentality has hardly changed, incest/baby girls murder/death sentence for same Gotra marriage, if any region in India that comes close to some of Pakistans lawless areas is Haryana. Its truth call me racist or whatever, they have Taliban type Khap Panchayats.

dude, it depends on region by region....

In some region, you can get away with just a warning.... In some, you can get shoot.... (in north east state, never mess with ministers convoy. They have special protocol unlike other states).... So its case to case basis.

Unless Wassan tried to put the Minister's car in jeopardy, Police should not have manhandled him...

If it was a stupid sports minister for Haryana, its even more hilarious....

Its not like the President or PM are travelling in the car

Like you have pointed, Haryana is not facing any militency... If it was Kashmir or N.E States, I would understand.
