I agree with you but then would this be a permanent change both home and away? I think Akmal and Butt would make a very solid opening partnership but the lower middle order of Malik, Razzaq and Afridi is a bit hit and miss. I'd like to see Malik back at 3, Younis at 6, Afridi at 7 and Razzaq at 8.

I doubt Akmal will be opening for long, he is better suited down the oder in my opinion, he scored a century against WI in Australia and generally struggled at the top of the order after that.

problem with akmal is that he doesn't use his feet a lot and IF the bowl swings then the it would take a edge for sure
