Amir is irreplaceable but yes if this lad learns how to bring the ball in to the right handers -- he could be deadly

Excellent display of Fast bowling from Junaid Khan! He had yorkers, bouncers, slower balls and good swing bowling too.

Not to forget Aizaz Cheema supported him well. Kuddos to Aizaz too!

I have said it in the past too and will say it again: Umar Gul and Wahab Riaz are in trouble if they don't perform more regularly in test cricket. There are some decent bowlers coming.

Mohammad Aamer is too young to be forgotten. He will be back.

On the other hand, Junaid Khan is an awesome bowler! I hope he keeps taking wickets.

Probably the best hes bowled in a game for pakistan! Seems to have gained some pace and also seems to understand the needs for bowling good variations on such wickets!

Am sure the county stint with lancs has played a part in his improvement as a bowler!

4 years down the line, MA and JK opening the bowling.

Am sure the county stint with lancs has played a part in his improvement as a bowler!

I think if he plays well this season he'll be back for lancs next year for sure. nd I hope he does. Nothing like bowling in county for experience. Lets hope all the bowlers hit top form before the england series.

Overall a brilliant bowling performance. On a pitch that offered not much it is a great achievement to bowl out a strong lineup like the lankans!!

Excellent bowling, but I have some doubts about his action.

Especially with the last wicket, I thought he was very close to chucking :murali

Guy has to be careful IMO.

Grats man, luckily caught that yorker being bowled live along with his other 2 wickets in the same session. I knew he would perform soon, some people were writing him off too early.

Hopefully he can keep picking wickets up for the rest of the series.

The thing that makes this acomplishment even better is that... It was producing by a rising young exciting player with big potentia and more importantly it was his first against a tough side, on a tough wicket which doesn't usually favour bowlers. Brilliant. :14:

Despite me being against comparison of Aamer, let's not forget that Aamer started his International career slowly and only started making big impacts against sides like Australlia and England, except Junaid will be testing his abilities on flat wickets.

Great talented player who has developed alot, especially for his UK County side, top stuff.

Mashallah. Great stuff by Juni. Since his debut i wasnt too much impressed with him, until now. Superb bowling on such flat track. Amazing, hats of to em and i wish and hope he remains consistent and learns quickly as we badly need good bowlers in our line up.....I was against his selection but he proved me and lots of others wrong. Awsome stuff JUNAID.......go on and win us the test match for us.

Congrats to the youngster and yet again the legacy of creating fast bowlers for Pakistan continues on and on....It is upto the batsmen to apply themselves and put pakistan in a great condition to win the 1st test

You know what.
Whenever he bowls with is natural action - a bit chuckish - he bowls really well and when he is told to bowl with a straight arm, he sucks.

My analysis.

Great performance by the lad, its way too early to jump on the bandwagon and proclaim him to be the next Akram but if he keeps working on his game he will be a great asset to our team.
