Pleased by this, but really Taufeeq doesn't need to play like this. He's the opener, he's the guy who's supposed to see in, grind against the fresh bowlers and the new ball and make things easier for the middle order. Plus Hafeez is partnering him, which probably makes it more imperative that Taufeeq stays in as Hafeez scores more attackingly at a higher strike rate, but more prone to losing his wicket.

Middle order players should take the responsibility of upping the strike rate when needed. Azhar, Younis, Misbah, Asad. That's their job. So far the guy doing that is Hafeez, who as an opener, really shouldn't be expected to.
