Go to My Computer and RIGHT CLICK and select PROPERTIES
Then select HARDWARE, then select DEVICE MANAGER, it should tell you about your sound card there!
(Im no expert either so i may be entirely wrong)

actually that probably is your best option otherwise you wont know what Driver to install!
For example if you knew the make you can search for Drivers on the Net no problem!
I dont think its that dodgy. just unscrew it and catch a glimpse of the name

Hash bro, you can find out most of your PC's info by using a program called Sandra by SiSoft, which you can download at the bottom of this page:
http://download.guru3d.com/sandra/
You can also easily unscrew your PC case and try to find your sound card model. Then all you'd need to do is to google your soundcard make and exact model and also type "driver". You'll find it.
Tell us if you get the model/driver. Installing it is also easy.

What make is the PC?
Just find out the make and the model number which should be on the PC tower ( most likely on back ).
Go to the manufacturer website and they will have all the drivers for that model.
Motherboard, Soundcard and Graphic drivers.

So its Tiny?
Now just tell me the model number and I'll give you the links for the drivers.

Exactly. If your PC isn't custom built, this is certainly your easiest option
