Dubai: Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq is not concerned about England starting their preparations for next year's UAE series against his team early.
The England Cricket Board has decided to fly their players to South Africa and India early next month to get them trained for the series against Pakistan in January and February.
When Misbah was asked about England's plans, he said: "It is too early to think about England because we have some tough games ahead against Sri Lanka and first we have to focus on these matches. This series is very important for us."
England's players will take part in the England Performance Programme camps, which have boosted their team's performance over the years.
After the recent one-day series defeat against India, they are keen to adapt to the conditions better, especially as a series defeat against Pakistan can dethrone them from the top of the ICC Test rankings.
But Misbah is focused only on the present.
"The series against Sri Lanka is very important as of now, then we go to Bangladesh," he said. "We have to concentrate on that series too. We are constantly playing games and I think that is the best preparation we can have for the England series.
The Pakistan-England series starts on January 17 with the first Test in Dubai, England will play two three-day warm-up matches.
