What avenues do the ICC take to bring in money? How does that specific organization bring in money for themselves?

I guess they have many avenues but their main funding comes from their the global tournaments such as the World Cup, Champions Trophy and the T20 World Championship. This is why they are stubborn in not finishing off the champions trophy which some sides feel is a waste of time. We also see the T20 cup being played regularly, obviously to boost those finances.

I think there mainstream revenue earning source is broadcasters for ICC global events. All of the ticket sales, broadcasting revenue etc in ICC's events all goes in there pocket and that itself is worth millions or billions who knows. After all it is for a world's global tournament.

Yes, host country gets a fair share too! For example, 60% goes to ICC and 40% to hosting country (again this is just an example)
