Just watching the match between Stallions and Eagles and saw the speed of Umaid Asif from Stallinons. It showed 135 kph and saw also the speed of one of Malik's balls measuring 89 kph.

They are not showing speed of every ball but every now and then you can see the speeds.

Btw very impressed with Umaid Asif, the tall medium-fast bowler, seaming the ball well.

They don't use kookaburra. Basit Ali in the studio said PCB really need to start using KB balls but PCB apparantly thinks they are too expensive.

This Pakistani obsession with speed again. A fast bowler comes along every few years. They are a rare breed. If the guy is a good bowler.......... he is a good bowler doesn't matter what speeds he bowls at. Sami bowls at quick speeds and has an average of 50 in test matches. What is the point if you have no control?

Pace alone is useless if its inconsistent and not complemented by bowling skills. People must remember that when Waqar and Shoaib were at their peak, they had plenty of tricks up their sleeves in addition to that pace including reverse swing, inswing, outswing, ferocious well directed bouncers.

One ball at 145 km/hr while the others around 135 km/hr with no abilities with the ball is useless and cannon fodder especially on flat lifeless batting paradises.

Sami was definitely a failure in test cricket but he was a pretty good ODI bowler, in fact in the last ODI he played for Pakistan he took two wickets for about 40 runs than was dropped from the ODI team based on his test performances.
