I'm watching IPL right now and with a required pro of more than 12, I am pretty certain that Kallis on the crease will not be helpful. Kallis is a great batsman --- a super solid batsman --- but he just does not have this ability turn it on if required. In my view this inability has been the reason for some of SA's important losses in T20's. Some batsmen don't have the natural flair for power hitting but what I find really frustrating is that even if 36 were required in the last over, Kallis would be driving the ball!

66 of 4 needed..
Only an yusuf pathan slogging can help KKR
Kallis is doing what he does best .... :D

One of the greatest players in history, does it really matter if he doesn't have a gear 5?
Note, he has a 24 ball 50 to his name in test cricket.

Not , it does not for test and ODI cricket....but kinda matters for T20....
he is a legend..great player ...but he does not show intentions of slogging either in t20 ......just coz he plays it..he should!!

As a CSK supporter things are looking ominous for us this season.
Mumbai woke up at the correct time. Good game, well played MI.

Did I doubt his greatness as a player? I am commenting on his ability to regularly play explosive innings. And yes it does matter when the average RPO in t20's is pushing towards 9.

I'm sure nobody will say anything, but Sachin would hv been roasted if he played remotely like Kallis, yet Sachin is selfish n Kallis is ultimate team player

How many times have we seen Kallis play the way he did for RCB ,and KKR over the last 4 to 5 years....sure if you cannot hit ..its okay..but Kallis does not show much intent either untill run rate is around 20....

But its not Kallis's fault is it? KKR management knows about Kallis batting style isn't it? either they want the people who play around him to be ultra-aggressive or simply playing him at the wrong position.

True...but again if other fails...he has to use his brain and not do only his associated role and start showing intent of big hitting which he does not..if some players is going great ...he can do what he does best...but when they are not..he should take the lead ...

CSK did to DD in Chennai what DD did to CSK in Delhi. Very one-sided game . But great win for us :)

Matters if you're chasing 378 in an ODI and crawl to 48 in 68 balls...

yes good match but again it is the DC who done it again(snatching defeat from the jaws of victory) they should be given medal for this, they are doing it over and over again. The sad thing is they have some very good players just that they don't play as a team.

Aaron and Yadav also bowled well today as well. Good signs this for Indian Pace bowling. Esp. Varun Aaron as he was injured, but looks fit now.
