even he score a dubble hundred, still he is never good enough for odi cricket. What a shame we have a player like him, playing odi for 10 years for Pak.
What an example they set to include him in odi. We r still blaming our coach and junior players after setting these kind of examples.

He is a poor ODI cricketer but not as poor as you lot make out. A poor ODI batsman wouldn't really make 6 hundreds alongside 47 fifties. He is poor, I agree but not the most rubbish etc.

Still can't wait for him to retire!

YOUNIS KHAN PlEASE RETIRE FROM ODIS!

YOU are still a legendary test player but with repeated odi failures you are destroying your legacy in that format as well un the eyes of Pakistan fans!

Yeah Mister senior-junior. Pakistan ko senior-junior system ne hi maara hai.
Umar akmal, yasir hameed, gull etc all players were performing well. But when they came into senior-junior system they never performed at thr best. This system has destroyed our players and game.
Misbah is the biggest part of this system. he never think to drop a senior player. We need a better captain.

You sir have no clue about cricket. Yes, you only have 11 posts to your name on PP so far, but even a child would know that your statement is based on pure and utter ignorance.

Not sure how much you saw of Miandad's batting, but based on your comment, I would guess not very much.

8 odi hundreds at a strike rate of 65....thats mediocre by even pakistan batting standards..But then off course , others around him were pretty much crap , hence made him look good...
Here. Take a look at those who played in exactly the same games that Javed played:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;filter=advanced;orderby=batting _average;player_involve=1504;qualmin1=10;qualmin2= 300;qualval1=matches;qualval2=runs;size=200;templa te=results;type=batting

In top 10 of his era based on averages.

Every batsman in the WI lineup (Greenidge, Haynes, Richardson, Lloyd), but minus Richards, had a worse SR than him. Richards, on the other hand, averaged a measly 28 runs in those matches.

Javed was an extra ordinary batsman, what are you talking bout? Javed was a runs accumulator and brought calmness and belief to the team that we are clearly lacking today, certainly knew how to pace his innings and could take singles whenever he felt like it, was more than capable of hitting a boundry when the situation demanded. I am not that big on stats so not sure bout his strike rate and averages but if you needed a batsman to take you home, it was him.I may never be able to forgive him for his bizzare dismissal against Australia in 87 WC semi final, may be i was too young at that time and it hurt me more than anything but i have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Javed was the most dependable batsman in the team, when the chips were down, two names would come into every Pakistani fan , Javed and Asif Iqbal.

Its surprising that you brought up his Cricketing skills to shoot down his opinion bout Younis, somebody needs to tell him straight up. Younis has been below average lately and Javed has every right to criticize him, he earned it.

This guy is absolute rubbish

Why doesnt he get dropped permanently from ODIs? You are telling me there is no LOI batsman in Pakistan better than him? Give me a break

How come political reasons are never associated with Younis Khan's constant selection?

Time to get rid of budda baba Younis Khan once and for all. lol

Pakistan's Highest Run Scorer in the 1992 WC with 5 Scores of 50+ in 9 Innings

2nd Highest Run Scorer of the Tournament

4th Highest by Average in the Tournament

Dont judge him on Strike Rate because it that era 60-70 was the Norm
