Tendulkar has made a match-winning innings, remember Openers rerley stick till the end, and tell me 1 opener who has batted through the 50 overs chasing a target of 280 plus?

Some ppl keep saying that Sachin isnt a match-winner bcos he doesnt stay on till the end.He is an opener for chrissakes!!I wonder how many openers really stay till the end of teh game..Heck,even the worlds best ODI opener last year(Gilly) doesnt have too many innings where he has played until the end..
Infact,Im pretty sure over 90% of his centuries result in an Ind win!
Its the mark of a great man that he makes a 100odd,40+ and 95+ in 3 consecutive innings and ppl still think he hasnt done enough!
I dare say that even Don Bradman may find it difficult if he was opening in the ODI's and expected to play all 50 overs to be considered a "match winner"!!
The best he can do is give the team a great start and he has consistently done that resulting in numerous ODI victories...If playing for 50 overs is considered "match-winning",I want to know how many openers in the ODI game have played and finished games that lasted over 45 overs??I can bet ya,there wouldnt be many opening "match-winners" if thats the criteria..
Same token,Gilly isnt a match-winner bcos he doesnt complete the win??
