Certainly been mistaken for one a few times ;) actually my first visit to Pak , I used to go around wearing peshawri hand-made sandals type things (I am sure you know what they are called), white shalwar kameez and a dark woolen shawl.. and most people were convinced I was pathan..even though I didnt have a mouctache or chewed naswar. ;)

However I am punjabi but saying that you know my views on this type of ethnic identification.. I am muslim first and maybe a pakistani later and that's all I am willing to tolerate in classifying myself ;)

I think it is tobacco of a kind or snuff.. yar, that greenish stuff they chew..even my uncle chews it here in England when the doctors told him to stop smoking..

the thing is yar, havent seen anyone do that green stuff(the one we call niswar) other than pot smokers. however it doesnt smell like weed though.

ha ha, that removes all doubts now. I accept it :oD
