Ajit Wadekar led Indians did win the series against WI (in WI) in 1971.
It was Sunil Gavaskar's debut series and he did scrore around 750+ in that 5 test match series.
I am not sure if they won even a single test thereafter in WI:)

I think it is going to be a close series, the WI quicks will have their moments but I reckon after all these decades India will Prevail in both one dayers and test matches.. Lara vs SRT will be a treat to watch hopefully both will fire & and I am predicting my man Sree to be the standout Indian bowler in that series... :D.

Yousaid the same with India vs Pakistan and England and they did not win the test series there!

india should win easily, but we all know how india's batting collapses like a cheap tent under pressure, so you never know.
a good way to improve an abysmal overseas record is to play weak teams at their home a lot, so smart move by the bcci to get 4 matches.

SRT "might" be available for the tests. Definitely not for the ODIs. As far as the results go, I think we might get it in the ODIs going by the current results. I am not so sure as to the tests, primarily because our bowling is not that good for tests. Sreesanth looks to be the only bright spot, Pathan in tests is crap and the rest really havent proved themselves.

It might turn out to be a lot of Draws followed by a single result. But then again, India has been more aggressive these days. Hopefully we will have a good series. The trouble is that there doesnt seem to be as much anticipation or excitement abt it. Hopefully we have good matches.

as far as tests go i would agree with you...they collapse...they should have beaten the english
in odis i think india will win....they can chase under pressure now and collapse less likely

I wonder whether Pakistan have ever won over there as yet. Perhaps next time.
I hope Lara gets over 400 runs in the series though 500 would be even better.

Pakistan has won several tests there, have not won a test series( thanx mostly to the WI umpires).
We recently won the ODI series over there.

In 2002 when India toured WI , India won the 5 ODI series 2-1 and lost the 5 Test series 2-1 .
