Folk, just a few observation regarding players, their assigned values in $$ and allowed money (salary cap) given to each team manager!!!
I did this analysis only for the test teams/players!
Here are all the test players and their values/prices;

Average Price/Value $104,219
Now, as a team manager, you can only select 11 players (5 BAT, 5 BOWL, 1 WK, 1 All rounder)....….and their combined value can not exceed $1,100,000. Which come out to be only $100,000 per player on the average. But if you take an average of all the available players, it comes out to be $104,219 for 32 player and their total value of $3,335,000. This indicates to me that average of allowed $100,000 (for a total of $1,100,000) is not enough to select more than 2 or 3 top players.
For example – here is the team I selected;
Mohammad Yousuf BAT $140,000
Faisal Iqbal BAT $75,000
Collingwood BAT $90,000
Kevin Pieterson BAT $150,000
Ian Bell BAT $75,000
Abdul Razzaq AR $100,000
Geraint Jones WK $100,000
Mohammad Sami BOWL $70,000
Mohammad Asif BOWL $100,000
Danish Kaneria BOWL $125,000
Umar Gul BOWL $75,000
Total $1,100,000
My team has only two top players (MoYo and Kevin) which cost me total of $190,000 which is $90,000 more than the average price I am allowed. Now, I had to “save” $90,000 by selecting “low-valed” players…..conseqently my team suck! Just for the fun of it, try fitting in Inzi or Flintoff for a price on $170,000 …..just watch who you have to drop to select one of them!
Here is another break down of the players and their value;
Average value of 13 players above $100,000 value = $133,077
Average value of 14 players below $100,000 value = $78,979
Notice we have to spend $33,000 more on above average players while if we select a below $100,000 player, we save only $21,000. Which means, on the average…..if we select ONE above average ($100,000) player, we have to select TWO below average ($100,000) players. Not enough money to spend!
Bottom line – I think, either top players (Inzi, MoYo, Shoaib Akhtar, Kevin P and Flintoff) are too pricey or we are not given enough money (only $100,000 per player) to select good players. There is no way you can select more than 2 top players!
So, any chance folks running this fantasy league can raise the allowed money up to $1,160,000????
P.S. Vaughan and Shoaib need to be taken out of the list and
Robert Key needs to be added.
