i think its a stupid move because i wanted them to play akmal as an opener in every match in the VB to complete the experiment so its ok for me to say its stupid
but you have been complaining about akmal opening every day so it doesnt make any sense for you to complain about them stopping him from opening!

Now if they are there, you have different opinions. Kindly before asking team management to be consistent, try to be half consistent in your thoughts and opinions.

I dont agree with Younis as the keeper.
Ive always wanted Yasir to be opening with Salman. Kamran, despite the century never has looked 100% comfortable to me and one of the commentators mentioned it in the last match that he is often late on the ball. That wont matter much against medium pacers, but when ure facing the likes of Brett Lee, you will be exposed.
Generally i agree with the team. Not sure about Khalil for Azhar though.
Whos bright idea was it to send him in to open?!. Ricardo is not an opener!!! He is a lower order batsman! Wake up Bennet King!!!!

Younis Khan's inclusion instead of Akmal is a gamble and i m not sure if it's a good decision BUT it may turn out to be a good one. Hafeez has been dropped as well, so what are we crying for now?????

one more thing. since Butt has not bowled that often as a part-timer, who is a 6th bowler.
as far as i am concern, i didn't wanted Akmal to open but i didn't wanted him to be droped either. he could have played in the late middle order. i am not sure YK will do the job successfully.

I don't see the big deal of replacing Akmal for this one match that really doesn't mean much. He has played a lot of cricket over the past few weeks and with Pakistan playing 3 ODIs in 5 days deserves a rest. Australia does this with Gilchrist so why are you guys getting so sensitive!
I would have even like to see Taufeeq in instead of Salman because Salman is looking very tired.

He is better than KKDK, PP and Dhonut. Nayan has retired. so i would keep with Dravid. He is as good as any keeper I feel. At least he has kept at the intl level and done ok. India dont have an Akmal to call on.
However, they really should be playing a keeper at 7. They should try Naman Ojha. I may seem to be contradicting myself here but the above 3 are those in contention.

A top quality keeper who can bat handily at the end is a very potent weapon in odi cricket. They can turn a game on its head. Akmal is exactly this.

i guess im not the only one getting tired of amjid criticising for the sake of criticising!
i dont mind criticism as long as its constructive and its consistent.
What amjid does is he criticises just because he can.
For eg he criticsed Rana by saying he was no good without a new ball and then a short while later he said Rana is no good with a new ball. Where's the consistency?
He criticised Afridi in the Sydney test by saying Afridi was unable to bowl out the tail but Afridi didnt even bowl a single ball to the tail. How is it constructive to criticise something that didnt happen?
He's been screaming about Akmal as opener being a bad decision, in fact this morning he said Akmal should never open at Perth. As soon as he thinks Akmal isnt opening at Perth he starts criticising it! I'll bet even if Akmal DOES open at Perth he will make another thread criticising that!!
Its just OTT and very annoying, a bit like a hyper-active toddler!!

it came from Noddy bhai who is in Australia with the Pakistan team....therefore I would say fairly reliable.
By the way, this is not a do or die situation for Pakistan. If we lose, we can still get to the final if we beat the Windies. Even if we win, we will get knocked out if we lose to the Windies.
The game against the Windies on Tuesday is effectively a semi final!

Amjid what the h*** you want from team. Can you clear all the posters, try to check your posts, you always voiced against akmal as opener and yasir to be in team. Now if they are there, you have different opinions. Kindly before asking team management to be consistent, try to be half consistent in your thoughts and opinions.

I dont agree with Younis as the keeper.
Ive always wanted Yasir to be opening with Salman. Kamran, despite the century never has looked 100% comfortable to me and one of the commentators mentioned it in the last match that he is often late on the ball. That wont matter much against medium pacers, but when ure facing the likes of Brett Lee, you will be exposed.
Generally i agree with the team. Not sure about Khalil for Azhar though.
Whos bright idea was it to send him in to open?!. Ricardo is not an opener!!! He is a lower order batsman! Wake up Bennet King!!!!

Younis Khan's inclusion instead of Akmal is a gamble and i m not sure if it's a good decision BUT it may turn out to be a good one. Hafeez has been dropped as well, so what are we crying for now?????

Yes Younis Khan should play as a keeper because Pakistan dont have any bowlers that need a good keeper.

one more thing. since Butt has not bowled that often as a part-timer, who is a 6th bowler.
as far as i am concern, i didn't wanted Akmal to open but i didn't wanted him to be droped either. he could have played in the late middle order. i am not sure YK will do the job successfully.

I don't see the big deal of replacing Akmal for this one match that really doesn't mean much. He has played a lot of cricket over the past few weeks and with Pakistan playing 3 ODIs in 5 days deserves a rest. Australia does this with Gilchrist so why are you guys getting so sensitive!
I would have even like to see Taufeeq in instead of Salman because Salman is looking very tired.

At least i am happy that Hameed and Khalil have been included. It's not that i am big fan of any of them BUT i am sure they are at least better than part timers like Azhar and Hafeez.

He is better than KKDK, PP and Dhonut. Nayan has retired. so i would keep with Dravid. He is as good as any keeper I feel. At least he has kept at the intl level and done ok. India dont have an Akmal to call on.
However, they really should be playing a keeper at 7. They should try Naman Ojha. I may seem to be contradicting myself here but the above 3 are those in contention.

A top quality keeper who can bat handily at the end is a very potent weapon in odi cricket. They can turn a game on its head. Akmal is exactly this.

i guess im not the only one getting tired of amjid criticising for the sake of criticising!
i dont mind criticism as long as its constructive and its consistent.
What amjid does is he criticises just because he can.
For eg he criticsed Rana by saying he was no good without a new ball and then a short while later he said Rana is no good with a new ball. Where's the consistency?
He criticised Afridi in the Sydney test by saying Afridi was unable to bowl out the tail but Afridi didnt even bowl a single ball to the tail. How is it constructive to criticise something that didnt happen?
He's been screaming about Akmal as opener being a bad decision, in fact this morning he said Akmal should never open at Perth. As soon as he thinks Akmal isnt opening at Perth he starts criticising it! I'll bet even if Akmal DOES open at Perth he will make another thread criticising that!!
Its just OTT and very annoying, a bit like a hyper-active toddler!!

it came from Noddy bhai who is in Australia with the Pakistan team....therefore I would say fairly reliable.
By the way, this is not a do or die situation for Pakistan. If we lose, we can still get to the final if we beat the Windies. Even if we win, we will get knocked out if we lose to the Windies.
The game against the Windies on Tuesday is effectively a semi final!
