This Pietersen guy scares me a bit
He's very motivated and talented.

Will he be taking Thorpe's test place soon?
He's been seemingly ready for years now.

Excellant partnership from Kallis and Gibbs setting SA on there.

Justin Kemp looking very good taking the game away from England with some big hitting. Kabir Ali proving to be expensive today...

SA only need 36 runs from 30 balls.
235-3

2nd February 2005, 18:55
Hoggard makes crucial breakthrough getting rid of set and dangerous Gibbs.

Now Kemp gone, game on!

2nd February 2005, 19:08
That was a good yorker from Gough to bring England back.

But Hogard has expensive over going for 10.

15 from 12 needed.

wow, good game going on ... would back SA at this stage, need 15 off 12, 3 wkts to go for Eng.

2nd February 2005, 19:10
Pollock hits gough over cover for 4.

10 from 9 now

2nd February 2005, 19:13
England need a wicket, kabir or Giles has to bowl the final over...

play and miss by boucher, no bye run.

9 from 7

8 off 6, who will bowl the last over?

2nd February 2005, 19:14
Pressure on Kabir Ali.

7 overs for 49.

Bob Willis being very cruel on Kabir calling him a camel for his fielding, out of order.

8 off 6, who will bowl the last over?

2nd February 2005, 19:15
Kabir high full toss pulled for 4 and a noball

5 runs of 1st ball. Game over !!!

2nd February 2005, 19:16
Another full toss but boucher is caught on the boundary.

3 from 5 needed

Waheed,

who is the little kid in your profile hitting the ball. He has better footwork than most **** players

2nd February 2005, 19:18
Pollock swings and misses good ball from Kabir

3 from 4.

2nd February 2005, 19:19
Pollock gets a quick single.

2 from 3.

That's my nephew Mohsib.

2nd February 2005, 19:20
Prince runout by yards going for quick single.

wow, this is a top game

2 still needed from 2 balls now.

2nd February 2005, 19:22
Pollock sneeks a single with the ball only going a yard away from him

scores level.

Jones should be standing upto Kabir, would not have got a single.

1 to win of the final ball.

great game

2nd February 2005, 19:26
Kabir bowls to Hall with Jones standing upto the wicket, all the fielders inside the 15 yard circle.

Kabir does it, Jones stumps Hall and the game is tied.

well done Kabir under alot of pressure in the final over.

Excellant game of cricket.
SA still have only one win in 13 games now.

tie game OMG

2nd February 2005, 19:27
SA bottled it again, only needed 3 runs of 5 balls with 4 wickets in hand.

Boucher & Pollock playing poor cricket from senior pros...

If Pietersen hasn't got a place in the Test team by the end of the Ashes, he certainly will have by the start of the Pakistan series. An unorthodox player but extremely strong mentally.

Kallis and Gibbs batted superbly to take South Africa to within choking distance.

Kabir Ali was far too expensive but fair play to him for having the guts to come back and ensure the tie for England off the very last ball of the match.

The balance of power shifted ball-by-ball in the last 15 overs, an absolute nailbiter.

I was surprised Trescothick didn't bowl Giles for the last over instead to be honest. He has bowled at the 'death' for Warwickshire before and I felt he would be more reliable than Ali who had sprayed it around a bit previously.

It's difficult to know what to make of the that final over - it ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous really.
