I always get confused - is he an attacking option or a run saving one ?

I suppose he needs to be an attacking option in Test matches but i she given carte blance to bowl his fastest or is he brought on when runs are starting to flow a little too much ?

depends on which razzak shows up on the field really. his performances sometimes are a treat to watch with the ball. He seems to have gotten some of his old groove back (99 WC), atleast in the ODI atleast.
In test matches it is the perogative of the captain of how he utilizes razzak, and sometimes even he doesnt know what his role is. therefore to an extent the blame lies with our captain in test matches.

Under-rated player of the Pakistan team. As Naved mentioned hes pretty lazy which is why he has under achieved but when you see THE look on Razzaq's face then he's pretty much unstoppable.

It goes back to the age old question with him....

WHY??!

ODI - He's a run saving option that loves to attack wicket to wicket....

One of the best stock bowlers in ODI cricket i feel...

TEST - 4th or 5th change bowler who comes to the party later in the innings with the task of containing in style.

a nobody who is not a ftb - flat track bully. But a chancer who likes to slog the not so fast bowlers ie those that dont extract bounce from the pitch.
Those that extract speed & bounce like Harmi Razzaq runs leg side square of wicket to protect his toes
As a bowler just runs in to bowl wicket to wicket. Then if he bent his back & put a little bit of effort into his bowling he could be an asset to the side

Razzaq as an ODI bowler is there to come on 1st change and maintain pressure if we get off to a good bowling start and at times hes there to keep it tight.

Razzaq as far as tests go should be used as a net bowler, and should be nowhere near the team!

Razzaq is/can be a brilliant player in tests. We all know what his uses are in ODIs

In Tests, I feel he is extremely under rated.

His bowling is excellent (Lords 1st Test, got Strauss and Pietersen to set things up nicely!)

Well, not excellent, but its much better than Pathan and Zaheer and Sreesanth and Munaf and God knows who else India believe will break the 100 MPH mark

What i like most about Razzaq is his smooth psychopath / seriel killer type composure...

He shouldn't play test matches as the management rightly decided in this series.

Two years late but that's ok.

agree! the guy has so much potential-he can bowl so much better. He is also a master in reverse swing. Pity he cant be arsed any more!

Agree. Pak did well by removing him and bringing in another batsman in the tests! :14:
