one of my older mates had laser eye surgery done - he says it is great - his vision is 20/20!

I wouldn't have that done. There is always a risk of something going wrong. I'm not prepared to take that!

hitman - he said it hurt like hell, couldnt open eyes for a few hours and a lot of swelling - very risky but if u have good surgeon then it is fine - costs about £1100, i think they remove some tissue from inner eye so can be dangerous

here is a little boring explanation - when wearing glasses - light is refracted so enter's ur eyes at different angles as opposed to no glasses - now contacts have minimum distance from the eyes and as such should overcome this problem of refraction

right serious answer wasim - They are looking at advancing through the internet - this market is booming especially for music - contact them or visit their website and see what initaives they are looking to set up - e.g. having dopwnload service. It will be looking to adapt to demand and as such at a time when record sales are at an all time low - the internet is where it is at - so as such they would probably looking at decentralising the company structure IMO

Have an idea of how they work? In football there are these conferences (Big ten, MAC etc). Any idea what purpose they serve? I mean do the teams in each conference play each other more often than others? What role does the NCAA play in this?

This is regarding football...

Like other sports leagues, it helps group teams. Some conferences carry more prestige than others, although certain teams like Notre Dame and Navy are independents but are still followed closely. It's mainly geographically based, and intraconference play usually constitutes most of each team's games. Only 1 or 2 games are usually outside the conference.

The NCAA is like the organizing body, similar to the ICC, and makes the rules and regulations, but each team is largely independent.

Honestly, I would've moved if the Orkut message board system was better and if the server didn't take minutes to load a page.

Marooned, don't know the specifics on college pay. I was thinking they just recieve their tuition and any incentive pay is illegal under NCAA rules. It would be difficult to unionize players, especially since these players don't have the repuations of their NFL counterparts. If you're in the NFL, you have chosen football as your career, but if you're in a college football team, you can still choose another career.

I do think insurance should be provided, in case of injury, by either the NCAA or the universities.
