Shoaib Malik, Pakistan's superb batsman, missed the historical test series against India, when he was in the squad, with the team. Pakistan's fine perfomance without this young player didn't make a difference in the last test, but could have been better if he was played in the first two tests. He could have helped Pakistan in giving better results.

POOR SELECTION...

Is he going to be able to bowl in the ODIs or nO???

from what I've heard he can bowl in ODIs but he can only bowl his regular spin and his doosra and other variations are banned.

No he cannot bowl. You say poor selection but Younis and Asim Kamal were the players he was competing with!

No he cannot bowl. You say poor selection but Younis and Asim Kamal were the players he was competing with!see man..there were other options like taufeeq....he could have played instead of him.....even if it was kamal...i would choose malik.. malik is much better!!!

i have been saying for a while...

malik for opener in tests!!!!!!

Taufeeq was an opener (and a quality one!) and thus played.

malik is not a opener
