View Full Version : Hasan Raza to lead Habib Bank

KARACHI: Batsman Hasan Raza has been appointed to lead the Habib Bank team in the forthcoming, first-class Patron’s Trophy Cricket Championship, that gets underway at various centres around the country from February 8. The squad includes as many as 10 players who have appeared in Test matches for Pakistan.

Apart from Hasan, these cricketers are Taufeeq Umar, Saleem Elahi, Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Farhan Adil, Imran Farhat, Kabir Khan, Shahid Nazir and Danish Kaneria.

The remainder of the 20-member team are: Rafatullah Mohmand, Khaqan Arsal, Salman Qadir, Farhan Iqbal, Asadullah Butt, Sajid Shah, Junaid Zia, Abdul Rehman, Fahad Msood and Waqas Chughtai.

Habib Bank have been placed in Group B of the tournament, with National Bank, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), Pakistan Customs, Sui Gas Corporation and Defence Housing Authority (DHA) being their other opponents.

Habib Bank play their first match against National Bank, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, over four days from February 8 to 11
