2007 will see many stars of international cricket possibly retiring. The likes of Inzi, Jayasuria, Warne etc..

Will cricket be able to cope with this and what are some of the young starts you are looking out for?

Dont think Warne will be retiring and Inzi has already said that he has no plans to retire after the 2007 world cup.

What about the other players, Nauman? The stars of international cricket are getting old and will probably be retiring in the next 1-2 years.

Well if not retiring right away, it will be the last world cup for:

Inzamam, Warne, McGrath, Sachin, Sehwag, Fleming, Lara, Jaysuriya, Attapatu, Ponting, who else?

Trescothick? Collingwood? Bashar? Mashud? Streak? Smith? Gibbs? Polock?

Warne already played his last world cup in 1999.

A batsman tends to have a long life in international cricket. I know its wishful thinking, but Inzi if he seriously keeps himself fit, focuses on his batting, he is already strong he can even play in the 2011 world cup. If he isnt going to retire after the WC and say he feels he can play for 2 more years, then why not another 2 years. Same thing happened with Imran, he retired, came back and then lost intrest in cricket but had to remain in cricket for his cancer hospital.

No way Sehwag, but, surely Tendulkar and Lara are certain to leave after the World Cup. Ideally a WC Final with Pakistan vs India, would be great and we see Inzi and Tendulkar put in their best performance for the final and make it a real treat, but, we can only dream unfortunately, as their is a certain juggernaut by the name of Australia who are looking for a hat-trick of World Cup wins!

I feel 2007 will also be Bob's last as Pakistan coach. I hope it isnt but I think he'll have had enough by then.

It has begun. After seeing Warne, McGrath, Boje, Martyn, and Harmison retiring from one/both forms of the game, here is another who is considering retirement..

I hope for cricket's sake he does not retire too soon.
