hey guys, update the ODI rankings in here

Salaam Everyone,

I will be taking over from WIY and calculate the points for the Fantasy league from this month, thanks to WIY for his hard work and taking time out of his studies to calculate the points manually.

I wil be using a program I have written to keep calculate and keep track of the points...

Here's a couple of screen shots from it...

1. Parsing and Mapping Players from Match to Players in Database.

I've updated the ODI Points to include Ind v Pak 1st ODI game.

The top 3 performers in the match were:
1. v sehwag --> 143
2. s tendulkar --> 114
3. r dravid --> 98

Karachi King had both Sehwag and Tendulkar with Sehwag as his captain and got 500+ from the game, not a bad start for his 1st points in the league...

Zorawar got the next biggest match hauls with 450+ and closed the gap on long term leader Nawaz to less than 120pts.

WIY!!!! i think your planning seems to be lacking something. the point is that right now, we all have almost 9 players playing this month & you have none whereas in the next month, most of us will have atleast 5 or 6 players (as you said) playing & you will have 11. so in the end, it doesn't end up such a big mistake ;-)

Zorawar maintains top spot, despite being one of few people not having Afridi in his team.

With Zorawar and Jedi both having Rana and Sehwag in there teams the difference is likely to be the Afridi factor v Razzaq, who ever does well could well win the PP ODI Cup for them...

We don't want any controversy at this late stage, with only one ODI to go...

In future when you send teams transfers etc, can you send me a copy as well. WIY is still handling transfers, and it is individuals responsibilites to make sure the makeup of there team is correct.

BTW Sajjad need to deduct 9 pts for the points gained by A.Khan (Invalid Team 4 countries not represented)

the last email from you (WIY) i received, said i was due my transfers for the month. On that email was the email i sent you a month earlier which clearly shows malik was in my team as a batsmen. The issue of him being an allrounder was not brought up in the email you sent me.

Not sure what to do about this confusion and misunderstanding.

I think it is an honest mistake on WIY part and unfortunately Syed was not able to benefit from S.Malik's points.

I don't think it is possible to go back and re-calculate the points, so I think the best thing that can be done is to give you a Free additional transfer for next month.

I don't think it is fair to give you additional pts. Also other players have S.Malik in there teams as a batsmen... Saqlain Doosra and ZM.

So I think Shoaib Malik and any other players should stay as there original designated classification, in the case of S.Malik a batsmen.

(In the latest PlayerClassification.doc I recieved from WIY he was a batsmen)

I will post the the list again and update the website list of players in later in the week, so there is no more confusion.

Also when selecting players for transfers, will people use the EXACT names that I put on the website, i.e the spelling has to be correct otherwise players will not be matched with the players in the player database and it will increase my workload to manually identify the players.

i think it would be fair to give me malik's points. I took a big risk by including smalik (since it was likely yk would take his place in the odi side considering he couldnt bowl) and i should receive the benefit. An additional transfer doesnt seem to be adequate compensation considering malik's sublime form in the series.
