View Full Version : Our multiple personalities !

Lets admit it - we have one version of us who goes to work or to school - another who exists with his wife and children ( or boy/girl friends !) and another one that appears in front of our parents or grandparents !! ( and there might be more !)
Told in any other context, you would think that its time for the looney bin but the above describes most of us !
You have to admire humans - living everyday thru multiple personalities and still surviving - is that why we are called "ashraf-al-makhlooqat" ( most superior of ALLAHS creations) ??

That's very true MIG and now we have online personalities too where many people live out double lives far removed from reality!

Very true about online personas - and how about our other life as responsible adults while many of us will do childish things when no one is looking !

Excellent point Robo ! Which is the real you ? have you ever wondered ? Could it be that your Internet persona, due to the fact that you dont have a "real" person to interact with - is the REAL you ?

MIG you are now officially the king of TP....another interesting topic!
I always hear people say 'Be yourself'....but as Robo said do we really know who is the real 'me'? maybe the changed 'me' is now the real me and if i try to be like the old 'me' then that won't be 'being myself'?

yes i thought about it and i think it's not the complete picture of me. i'm sure it's same for many of us.

I think the real you exist in an altered state of mind.

Heres a perfect example.
My son, with me - loving little boy - when his friends are around - he is Mr. Big Guy - voice deepens further and he walks all tough... little does he know that as he grows up, he will have to wear many more faces!

your real personality is when u r with freinds (not including family matters)
as when u r with freinds, u ll say everything and ll do everything.

I think real you is when you are all by yourself doing what you enjoy alone.
