DAnny Williams BATTERED by Audrey Harrison. And I mean CRUSHED in 3 rounds.
Looks like he had been in the ring for 15 rounds with Mike Tyson (in his prime!)

congrats to amir khan on the win! but he got caught too many times for my liking! Against a boxer with greater punching power he could have been in serious trouble - i know he has repeatedly said he wishes to win a world belt by the time he is 21, assuming that he means a genuine one - current world champs at light welterweight are:
WBC - Junior Witter
WBA - soulemayne M Baye (promoted by frank warren)
IBF - Urango (due to face ricky hatton soon!)
WBO - Torres
Its funny how fate seems to transpire in favour of someone, when khan first started out as a lightweight, the light welterweight division looked formidable! u had hatton, tsuyzu, floyd mayweather, miguel cotto!! but now cotto and FMJ have moved up a weight class, tsuyzu is seemingly in exile, that leaves Hatton! i know its too far ahead to think about but amir khan vs ricky hatton is a possibility!!!!

WIY isnt Khan going to be fighting at Lightweight tho
thats the issue, last nite he was fighting at light welterweight - think thats a 9st limit if i remember correctly and commentator said that khan told him that in between fights he walks around weighing 9st 4lbs - so to get down to lightweight would be even harder. There were contradictions, when the commentator said that khan is lucky he isnt facing acelino freitas who is a lightweight. For me if he can manage it, he shud stick to lightweight as its an easier division

well its gonna be interesting to see which way he goes - he definately learned plenty from last night or atleast one hopes he should have. I guess the 10 rounds and the belt being on the line made him a little nervous and he was making mistakes BUT fortunately for him Drilzane cudnt punish him for it - i dont think Khan has a chin on him so it will be tough for him in the future when he faces a puncher BUT he needs to work on his defence now

he reminded me a little bit of prince naseem with his defense, just looking to use his speed to avoid punches, but he was getting hit too much, hope that teaches him to keep his gloves up! and no disrespect to amir khan but to think he wanted to spar with FMJ! :))) that comment still has laughing!

whilst watching the fight i was thinking of that comment aswell - it just made me cringe in embarassment for the lad - FMJ would have slapped him silly with one hand - part of me is worried he will go the Naz way in terms of ego
the lad has talent, no doubt about it BUT talent alone wins you f all

He was a bloody mess by the end of it. He could hardly see out of his left eye because it was so swollen. He even got his nose broken!
The Khan fight was probably the first one where he was given a proper match. That Rachid guy was no mug in the ring and even knocked Amir down! As these fights step up in quality he has to start working on his tactics.

DAnny Williams got boyed end of. Well done to Harrison, he shown he can fight. ALso the Amir Khan fight was a good test for him, to go to 10 rounds would be a good experiance. But Drilzane had a very good chin, he was taking his punches well.

Amir Khan intends to relinquish his first professional title and continue his career in the lightweight division.
The Briton survived a seventh-round knockdown by Rachid Drilzane to claim the vacant IBF inter-continental light welterweight belt on Saturday.
But he now wants a quick return to the 10-stone ranks and campaign at what he feels is his natural fighting weight.
Khan said: "I only moved up for the experience. Drilzane has boxed up at welterweight, so I learned from this."
The Bolton youngster, who won his Olympic silver medal at lightweight in Athens two years ago, admits he took some testing shots from his game opponent.
In fact, a solid right by Frenchman Drilzane in the seventh warranted a standing eight count, although Khan, 20, played down the decision afterwards.
"I got my feet caught in the ropes - it was never a knockdown," he said.
Drilzane had gone the distance in all his previous 13 fights and seemed to relish trying to steal Khan's thunder.
But Khan's dazzling hand speed and nimble ring movement ensured that despite a few rocky moments, he eased home with a 99-91 verdict.
Promoter Frank Warren, who is eyeing another fight for Khan early next year, was satisfied at the progress of his young charge.
"That was another great learning curve for Amir and you can't buy that kind of experience," he said.
"I was pleased with the way he was never flustered and he is only going to get stronger and stronger," he told BBC Radio Five Live.
"The most important thing is that Amir got 10 rounds under his belt for the first time and he still looked fresh while maintaining his composure.
"He had a guy with him in there who was pressing all the time. He was a very tough and rugged fighter and really made Amir think.
"He certainly learned more out of this fight than in his previous nine."
Warren confirmed: "He will drop back down now, a collective decision made with his coach and his father.
"He weighed in at only a pound over the lightweight limit for this fight, so it makes sense."
But Warren also played down premature demands to fast track Khan into a world title shot.
"That's still a long way off, he's learning all the time and still needs to get a few more fights under his belt first," Warren insisted.
