Inshallah I'll be applying to universities in Ontario very soon e.g. Waterloo, U of T etc. and I know of a few people here who go to Ontario unis like kablooee. I'm slightly confused how the OUAC links in with the rest of the application process.
I went on the OUAC website and I have an account, plus I've filled in my personal info, but its quite limited. I'm wondering, once I send this information off to my selected universities, what'll happen next? Will they contact me back individually?
And also, the deadlines on the university websites for application, are those just for OUAC application?
Would really appreciate some help, thanks in advance.

I went to high school in BC so I am not as familiar with OUAC as some others but I know that Ontario universities accept applications through OUAC. Just go ahead and apply to the universities you wish (they'll ask for application fees of course) and that is your official application to those universities. Some universities also require further steps to be taken during the application process (For Example, I believe Queen's requires applicants to fill out a more exhaustive application form which deals with extra curricular activities).
For the most part though, just use OUAC to apply. Make sure to visit the websites of the school you apply to. They will have have sections which explain the application process in detail.

I am gonna apply too soon using OUAC to U of W. I seriously don't know what happens after you apply, but I expect them to contact you individually or send a letter. And the deadline for applying to university is January 10. You should apply to the university and pay the fees, and just wait and see what happens next.

I went to school in British Columbia so Canadian system. I didn't do IB though, just regular old high school. I did fairly well though (mid 90s average) but you won't need an average quite the high. I think the entrance to Mechatronics for my class was set at high 80s. Good luck and let me know if you get in.

That's great news. The Mechatronics program has one of the highest entrance requirements so I'm sure you are well capable. Waterloo itself is a small town pretty much dominated by the University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier University (where Amir studies). The two schools are walking distance away.
Unfortunately, if you accept the offer and come to waterloo, you will be offstream with me. That means that whenever you are having a study term, I will be on a work term and vise versa. This means I will probably never actually meet you.
If you have any specific questions about UW, feel free to ask and I will be glad to answer them. Don't worry if you think the question is too small or unimportant, it doesn't hurt to ask if you are wondering about it.

Just keep looking at that sight, and then they will tell you if you got accepted, conditional offer or rejected. Just check it everyday and wait.
And that university should send you a thick package of information regarding acceptance. Anyways, this is so awesome :D I get to meet you, and than we can both make fun of kabolee together. Its quite fun, it really is.
