lol guys :)) I just love tempting fate, but with Afridi, anything we do wont stop him from scoring 100 if it's his day and equally wont stop him scoring 0 :D

oh and it's not a typo Sajj, someone (i cant remember who) here mentioned before the 3rd test an idea of a combo of Arshad and Afridi, or "Ashridi" and the name stuck! I just like calling him that :D

DM - being a big fan of pace bowling, I'm disappointed you haven't yet set up an official thread for Rao Iftikhar, our latest and hottest pace sensation!

Kanewali Tanga Jr v Sehwag tomorrow, should be compelling viewing.. a real confrontation in prospect between a brutally attacking batsman and that fire breathing, pace demon called Rao Iftikhar.

I'm backing our boy to knock Sehwag's middle stump out of the ground.. :D

With a high-arm action modelled on Glenn McGrath, Iftikhar Anjum is another addition to Pakistan’s seemingly endless production line of pace bowlers.

Interesting opening line in the profile of Rao Iftikhar, on CricInfo..

Khanewal now have their very own Glenn McGrath, to go with their big bird Joel Garner..

Its a pity our selectors aren't keen to select young Mohammed Irshad, who by the way is also from Khanewal.. obviously he won't be a bowler in the class of Shabbir or Rao Iftikhar, but surely him hailing from the same town as such legendary pace demons, must mean he's got to be one worth looking at ..

Who knows, having discovered our very own Garner and McGrath from Khanewal, in Mohammed Irshad.. we might find another Shoaib Akhtar even if not a Malcolm Marshall ! :)

But obviously our standards are so high thesedays in the pace bowling front with the likes of Khalil and Asif waiting in the wings, that you have to be truly special to stand a chance of getting into our line up at the moment.. such is the competition for places among the pacers.. ;-)

Well it doesn't matter how well he bats- if he goes for 10 runs an over again we will loose big time.

BW needs to realize that sehwag and company have his bowling completly figured out on these flat tracks- I would drop him for Shahid Nazir for the remainder of the ODIs.

afridi gonna score 80runs in today's match. wanna know y bcz he scored 8in the 1st odi and 0in the 2ndodi. when u put them them together for 3rd odi it will make up 80. so guys just watch afridi's 80runs inning today :D

Ashridi was looking really good playing straight, unfortunate that the nick flew straight to slip!

'The Afridi' really showed his class today. He made sure no-one took the catch to dismiss Irfan Pathan so that he could reach his first 50 and the Indians could have something to cheer about!

Now thats real JLD spirit!!

Persist with Afridi? There has been no talk of dropping him by anyone!

For the record, Afridi was moved up the order as per a special request by DM. Now he wants him down the order?

Actually i never minded where he batted, i prefer him in this series to open (to maximise his chances of batting the full 50 overs and scoring a triple century), but i dont mind settling for more Afridi mayhem down the order! :D

Yes but had they stuck with him down the order they would have been criticized heavily for not opening with Afridi. Tough job I say...

I think this series is the best chance for Afridi to score as an opener given the nature of the pitches and perhaps they should keep him there for now. Otherwise I prefer him down the order.
