Yes we played badly and were thrashed. The World Cup is another day. If we get two out of Asif, Gul and Akhtar injury free and drug free, we will be competetive in the World Cup insha-allah. The main problem I see is the drugs and injuries situation. Even the most optimistic person would give us no chance if all three or only one of the three injured/drug affected bowlers are available. But lets wait and see what happens. I expect three or four changes to the squad.

I created a post a week ago which questioned if our hopes had been affected terminally for the world cup because of the bad form/hassles we have had. Ive changed my tack now. I accept that is typical of Pakistan. A team needs just 1 win and 1 performance to ignite it. As I said - lets hope our players are injury free and legally drug free. That would be our first boost. Then lets wait and see. Im pretty hopeful as long as two of Asif/Gul/Akhtar are properly available.
