Gary: How many sides does your club run and which side do you play for?
we have 4 senior teams, u17, u15, u13, u11.
i play for the 3rd 11 or 4th 11.
i was on 3rds then dropped for no reason.
system is all wrong. if a batsman gets 0 he plays next game, if i dont take 5 wkts i am dropped!

well done yaar. i hope to make a real impact this year. If i was given the chances some were, then I could be in contention for Ireland team in a few years as they are looking for a leg spinner. We have one, Thompson of Lancs, who has been coached by Warne but he could be the Irish Hirwani!

Dan - I used to play for Reading Uni many years ago!
RH & ZM - Which School do you go to? My former teacher is now heading up the U15's or at least he was. Very dubious to say the least. I used to play in the age-groups for the county. Now merely a spectator.

I’m a jack of all trades, but a master or none, a utility man, a useful squad player, basically I'm not very good!
I wont be playing any club cricket, my days as a cricketer are finished I think.

I'm captain, founder, secretary, basically everything at my club! :D
I founded the club in 2003, we played our first season in the Berkshire Cricket League last year and were promoted in our first season.
I'm a fast bowler and a good number 8/9 hitter with very little technique.
You can see our website (West Reading Cricket Club) at http://www.wrcc.tk or http://www.freewebs.com/westreadingcc although for some reason it doesn't seem to be working at the moment.
We've started indoor nets about a month or so ago.
I might play for my uni too InshAllah, Reading Uni, although i haven't been to any training sessions.

im playing for my club over here in malaysia, and i am aright arm fast bowler, and im a hard hitting batsman usually batting at 8/9 or lower, so that i can get the quick runs for the team when needed the most, but my batting is not reliable .............

Loughborough University is the best for sport in the UK, ECB's cricket Academy is based there as well.

Amjd is already leading with 9 topics on this new board!
Gayle's salary is 650k but UB group has him as their Brand Ambassador for 3.5mn per year.So actually IPL money is really very big and i doubt if PSL can beat that.
What is the salary cap per team in PSL?
cricketjoshila
24th January 2013, 09:20
When Zaka says that the PSL is offering better packages to players, he means the per match fees that the players are getting paid come out to be more than what the IPL pays per match. IPL pays more overall but because they pay it over a season that goes on for 6-8 weeks with 20 some matches, PSL pays lower but for only 1 1/2 weeks for less than 6-7 matches, so it averages out as a better package.
Amjd is already leading with 9 topics on this new board!
IPLs highest salary is 2.5 Million.Plus IPL is played over 6 weeks so that means 400k per week.
Gayle's salary is 650k that is 100k per week.Plus UB group pay him 3.5mn separately per year.
Most high profile players get paid in excess of 100k per.week in IPL.
while the highest catagory in PSL is 100k.
